König snapped away from the moment when he heard Ghost's voice.. the way he called his name pulled him away from the blissful feeling he had when he was pressed against her lips.. he felt his entire face heat up as his cheeks filled with a hot flush. He was shaken up.. he had to get a grip on himself.

"You need to kill me and go..." she said stumbling back.

König was still reeling from the kiss he received.. his heart was beating out of his chest as he could feel it throbbing loudly in his ears. He watched as she stumbled back and he wanted to catch her but.. it was already too late. He took a deep breath and shook his head to try and clear up the confusion as Makarov approached. He looked over at her, his eyes full of sadness and regret at what was about to happen... he knew there was no other way.

König looked back over at her with a serious, yet sorrowful look. The fact that he was going to obey her final wish made his heart shatter further into pieces. He was already feeling regret for everything. He spoke back in a whisper barely above a mutter.*

König: ^("... I'm sorry...")

König reached his hand up and raised his gun, he didn't want to look her in the eyes one last time, not while he had the intention of pulling the trigger on her. He spoke one last time before he closed his eyes, preparing for what would come.

He closed his eyes, raising his gun slowly towards her face. He opened his other hand and gripped the trigger tightly, he felt his heart race faster and faster as he slowly brought the weapon closer. He was shaking... shaking from the anger.. the regret.. the fear... the confusion... all the frustration and emotions he felt all came spilling out when he felt her warmth earlier.. he didn't want to believe it was a final warm goodbye.. he couldn't do it. He stopped moving the gun, freezing. He was breathing heavily. He couldn't do it.

Makarov watched amused,

Y/n leaned into the gun, her temple connecting with the hard cold metal. "You have to do this, please if you ever loved me...pull the trigger.."

König stayed silent for a few moments when he heard her last words... if he ever loved her... he did love her... he loved her so much that it hurt like hell to be in this situation... the gun shook in his other hand... it was hard.. so damn hard. He hated everything in this moment.. he hated how he got attached to her.. hated himself for getting attached.. hated her for pushing him away... hated how he had to do this.. hated how he was hesitating.. he hated it all.

König felt his stomach churn as she pressed her head into the gun.. it only made him feel worse than before. The sight of her head pressed against the barrel of his gun was eating him up on the inside. His hand trembled with the gun... this felt so wrong... this was the most wrong thing he had ever done. He hated the feeling that was inside of him right now.

Makarov grew inpatient, he quickly shot his gun, shooting König's leg and whisking y/n off her feet, he lifted her off the ground, putting her weight upon his shoulder.... "König!" She screamed "König....please!"

König felt his leg give out as he grunted in pain when he was shot.. his eyes were still closed tightly as he heard her scream for him.. the way she said his name like that.. it made his heart ache.. it was almost as if they were saying their final farewells.. but.. it didn't feel like goodbye... he could feel himself start to loosen his grip onto the gun.

Her words made him loosen his grip on the gun even more. He was hesitant now... hesitating to finally pull the trigger. Her screams were eating him up on the inside.. and the way she called him.. it felt like everything was coming to an end between them. It felt like it just started and it was already ending.. no matter what he did, it ended the same way. This.. was different though... he was supposed to pull the trigger... he was supposed to be the killer.. he wasn't supposed to be the one to hesitate.

König tightened his grip onto the gun again until it was finally as locked in as he can get it. His hands stopped shaking and he brought the gun back up towards her.. the thought of losing her like this... it made him go cold.. but he couldn't stop now. He knew what he had to do... he couldn't stop now... because she asked him to do it... his hand was shaking and he breathed deeply. It was the only choice.. he had to pull the trigger.. his hand moved forward.

König closed his eyes tightly as he pulled the trigger. The sound of the gunshot echoed in his ears, and for a moment, he felt nothing. When he opened his eyes again, he saw the body slump to the ground. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. His hand was shaking, but he managed to keep the gun pointed at the remaining enemies. They didn't move. They were either dead or too scared to do anything. He turned his attention back to Kiwi.

She sat there in shock... König had killed... Makarov.

König was finally able to relax slightly as he breathed out. He felt her press her body up against his as he held her tight.. he knew she must've been horrified and scared to death... but she was safe now.. that was all that mattered

König: "It's over.. Makarov is dead.."

His tone felt strained, like he had just gone through the most horrific thing he has ever been through. He leaned his head onto hers.. now it was all over.. but his head felt like it didn't want to let the events of today stop playing in his head.

"König...you did it...you saved me, but I'm still a traitor...surely you punish me right?"

König stayed quiet for a moment when she said that... the way she looked right now.. like a frightened child.. it made his heart ache again... he shook his head slightly. It was obvious that she thought he hated her.. hated her for what she had done.. for lying to him.. for betraying him.. but his answer was still the same.*

König: "You're mistaken.. I would never punish you for something like..."

"But I- I told Makarov where 141 was currently located... he hurt a lot of people, he killed my family...I had to tell him because I'm his...niece..." she cried harder, leaning into his embrace further. "I should be dead!"

König hugged her tighter when she said that.. the way she was acting, it really did make her look like a small child. Her emotions and words all came spilling out after keeping it all locked away inside. She had betrayed them... Makarov was her uncle.. she had told him all the locations.. and for what? Why did she tell him where they were? Because she was his niece? Or was it something else?

"He said he wouldn't harm any of you! I should've known he wouldn't keep his promise!" She sobbed, "I had to act like everything was okay, I didn't expect to make so many friends and become close with you all...it would have been easy...if you all hated me..."

König felt his heart ache when she said that.. especially when she mentioned that she expected everyone to hate her. Did she truly expect them to treat her that way? To dislike her?.. even after everything and the betrayal she was expecting them to.. hate her? After a few moments of silence, he finally spoke.

König: "So... you really expected that?.. did you think we all truly hated you..?"

"You should..." Ghost turned to Price as the group all observed her... Ghost shook his head... "Y/n we knew who you were the moment you set foot in here...you were never a traitor, we wanted Makarov to know...it was our plan all along..."

Soap spoke up, "Sorry König we didn't tell you...it had to be kept a secret...and no Y/n we don't hate you..."

Price smiled "Kid, we are sorry you had to go through that internal struggle alone..."

König listened in as he kept his arms wrapped around her.. he wanted to hug her to the point of suffocation so she would stop crying.. he wanted to take all her sadness away. At the reveal of the whole plan, he felt his heart skip a beat. The whole thing was a set up? Her being a spy.. it was all a plan to lure out Makarov?

Her eyes were red and swollen, her mouth trembling and body severely shaking. "Please...never leave me in the dark again..."

König was speechless as he heard her soft words... he had no idea how to answer... but his heart ached when he saw how she was.. she was in such a vulnerable state.. one that he hasn't seen her in before.. it was as if he could see her true self being revealed..

König: "N-.. never.. I promise to.. to never leave you in the dark again.."
