Kiwi, Recruit - König x Reader

"I see you..."
Kiwi's voice came in from over the comms and it broke König out of his thoughts. He had almost forgotten the rescue mission and he quickly shook the thoughts out of his head. They needed to focus on the task at hand. König responded with a soft but quiet tone.

König: "..copy that, we're close to reaching you now, stay ready.. we'll be there soon"

König and the rest of the team started to slowly walk towards the warehouse, it looked like they were within proximity to the location now.. he could hear Gaz's footsteps near him and he felt a bit relieved to hear the footsteps of someone, even if it was Gaz. He took a deep breath as he felt like he could barely breathe, now that he was getting closer to the hostage, his mind began to race and he tried to keep a clear head.

König walked with the rest of the team, still being vigilant and keeping his eyes open. He could see the warehouse up ahead as the sound of Gaz's footsteps were quieter but he was still walking beside König, though König still continued to focus on the mission at hand and not allow himself to get distracted or slip into deeper thoughts.. he needed to keep it together until the mission was over and he would talk to Kiwi later.

[2 minutes later] The sounds of Gaz's footsteps got even quieter as they neared the warehouse where the hostage was being kept. König felt like the seconds were going by extremely slowly as it seemed like each passing moment took forever. The team finally stopped a few feet away from the warehouse now as they all got into position.. Gaz's footsteps got even quieter this time as he went almost silent before stopping right next to König.. he didn't even say anything to him, just his presence alone was enough to make König feel even more nervous.

König tried to keep a steady and calm temperament but with Gaz's presence so close to him, he could feel his breath get a bit quicker... even his heart rate... everything seemed so fast and yet every second felt like so slow.. the silence didn't help either as he was waiting for Gaz to say something.. he just couldn't find a chance to say anything himself when Gaz was next to him.

Gaz spoke softly, almost as quiet as a pin drop. Gaz: "The hostage is around the corner, I can hear the noise..."

König kept his breath steady as he spoke softly back to Gaz.

König: "..I copy that... prepare your weapon..."

He tried to stay as calm as possible as he slowly moved towards the corner and peeked around the corner, he had his rifle ready.. he waited for Gaz's move and his heartbeat had started to beat faster again as his adrenaline also was building up.

König peaked into the corner of the warehouse again and he saw the noise Gaz was talking about.. they were all hiding in one of the larger spaces inside the warehouse... there were three guards total in there, all facing towards the center where they had the hostage. König was slowly breathing and he watched the guards closely... when he felt like the guards had focused their attention onto the hostage... he turned to Gaz with a sign to get ready.. König's voice was still soft but he raised it slightly more this time.

Gaz raised his rifle and he was ready to go, he nodded slightly and he looked at König before slowly peaking around the corner again. The guards hadn't seemed to notice them or suspect that they were there, so König motioned for Gaz to wait a moment longer before going in for the hostage..

The guards in the warehouse remained focussed on the hostage as König slowly motioned with his head for Gaz to stay still and wait. König kept his rifle at the ready as he was waiting for one of the guards to move their attention away from the hostage.. his pulse was still racing and he was breathing deeply still but he tried to hold it together. He gave Gaz one last look before he tried to take aim and shoot one of the guards, he couldn't let Gaz take all the glory.. he wanted to get at least one..

That's when a shot went off, König froze feeling the heat and contact of a bullet shredding though his shoulder blade. Gaz took aim and fired, killing all three guards instantly, he looked to König, "You okay?" König flinched, "Yeah, guess I was too big and they saw me..." he lowly nodded.

König gritted his teeth as the pain rushed into his body after being hit by the bullet, his shoulder blade hurt quite a bit and he was trying to keep himself from falling down.. his face then slowly showed the pain as he spoke in a soft tone

König: ".. yeah, I'm fine.. just... just the bullet hit me in the shoulder..."

König took a breath before he looked up at Gaz, his blush was starting to show a little more now.. though he tried to hold it in as much as he could.

Gaz: "Alright...we are retrieving the hostage. König has been injured...we will be heading towards the heli in approximately 6 minutes..."

König was still trying to keep the pain to a minimal but he felt his leg start to tremble as he gripped his rifle loosely... he was doing his best to not cry out in pain. He kept his voice as calm as possible when he responded to Gaz's message.

König: "... copy.. I'll be.. fine.."

Kiwi: "Oh I will meet you both there... I have a med kit ready..." she replied firmly.

König's cheeks started to show a light blush in response to Kiwi's offer to help. He didn't want her to see him like this, he wanted to stay strong and not show any weakness in front of everyone. Though his body already was betraying him at the moment...

Gaz, Ghost, Soap and König arrived at the helicopter, Kiwi already standing there waiting for them, "Took you long enough...I was starting to become worried. König, come here."

Soap smiled, "Yeah, yeah Lass, he's okay..." Gaz looked at Ghost nodding before heading in.

König tried to keep his movements as steady as possible as they walked to the helicopter, he was feeling a bit light headed as he tried to remain as quiet as possible while his mind started to race yet again. Finally, they arrived at the helicopter and he looked over at Kiwi as she called for this. He walked over to her and tried his best to keep a steady and neutral tone of voice while his shoulder hurt.. the pain was finally starting to wear off a bit..

König nodded as she spoke and took a breath as she started to inspect his wound, he still felt a bit weak in the legs as he tried to stand up straight. As much as he hated the thought of it, he knew that he needed to stay steady for the task at hand, he couldn't slip up or appear weak..

Kiwi calmly spoke to König, "It's okay to show that you're in pain, you don't have to act tough around me..." her eyes softened at the man, his hazel eyes shifting between her and his feet. He looked back up at her staring at her lips as she continued to speak. "You are brave, and strong as just because you are hurt doesn't make you any weaker...you did well. You saved the VIP hostage..."

*Konig looked up back at Kiwi as she spoke, his blush had gotten even more profound as her eyes met his.. he was now frozen.. his shoulder still hurt and he still felt a bit weak in the legs but the compliment made it worth it.. his eyes were starting to shift away to her lips now.. her words were starting to make him feel like he was going crazy.. he felt like the pain wasn't even there anymore just from her words and compliments..*

Her lips turned into a small smile, Ghost and Gaz were smirking at them both... watching the two interact. She flipped her hair back before applying a cream to his wound, she grabbed the bandages preparing them to be sterilized and wrapped along his shoulder.

König couldn't help but feel his heart race as she applied the cream to his wound, the feeling of her hands on him was electrifying..

König let out a long breath as Kiwi finished applying the bandages and patching up the injury. Her warmth and gentleness in her tone had him a lost for words. He looked away from her and was trying his best to not let his blush show even more. He looked over to Ghost and Gaz, his cheeks now feeling extremely warm with how red they were. He could feel their amusement but he just tried to remain quiet as he slowly glanced back at Kiwi, his eyes once again wandering to her lips..
