Kim is not used of having to wake up early in the morning just to watch the farmers farms strawberries in their farm

A 12 years old would want to enjoy life and have a great sleep after all of this academic burn out, but here she was at her grandmother's yard observing the farmers

"This is life, we pay people to do things for us." Her grandmother look at the Wide farm, she wants her granddaughter to have this

"Why can't we just give them free money?" Kim asked

"People will never learn how it feels to be barefoot in fire if everything is free, darling "

"Why do they need to suffer in order to feel happy? Can being happy be free?"

"Its always free, happiness is always free. But we will never value it if we are able to get everything we want."

Kim is confused, why does her grandma so sad today

Kim sat down beside her grandmother's loving balcony sofa, she watch the pool collide as it waves

A milk and chocolate Strawberry were placed on the table and her grandmother sat next to her

"Kim, promise me one thing"

"What is it grandma?"

"Never be like your grandmother."

"Eh! Why?"

"I'm not normal."

"What makes my grandmother not normal?"

"I'm so isolated in my life, i blame myself everyday because of what happened to the love of my life."

"Is it Grandpop?"

"I wish it was him."

Her grandmother closed her eyes as she try to stop the forming tears in her eyes

"She was a sunlight in my life, the one that cause me to keep on going with life. The one who values me and makes me feel warmth" her grandmother stirr the tea she was holding

"Her name was Ali."

"Ali" Kim muttered as she try to remember the name

"What about her? Is she your best friend?"

"She's way more than that. She's the love of my life, Kim."

"A she? You fell in love with a girl, grandma?"

"I did. And i hate the thought of i never regret it."  Kim got confused, why is love supposed to be hatred when it was pure?
