I have always feared time.
What if one day I wake up
with emptiness in my heart?
The void of losing
someone dear to me.
The void of not being
able to see the whole picture again.
The void of having to
move forward
while you have left something behind.
I have always feared the future.
I can't envision life with
a single person missing out.
It's suffocating
to be always anxious of what tomorrow may bring.
It's suffocating
to live with worries of being left behind.
It's suffocating
to imagine a life that is far
from what I was raised to.
