Chapter 13

6 months later:

Marjorie's POV:

Both Reece and I had decided to go out again. Nothing special just drinks. Sometimes we'd go with a big gang of us from the nursery but I guess Reece wanted alone time as when I'd asked him he'd said no to inviting anybody. It was the same place as always. The one Sarah worked at. When I arrived home from work I quickly put on my favourite dress. Whenever I wore it I was showed with compliments from Reece and my friends. I rather hurriedly brushed my teeth not wanting to have bad breath. While I was in the bathroom I decided to wash my face drying it with a towel when I was finished and starting to apply my makeup. I looked in the mirror at the finished product. Making a sudden decision on what to do with my hair I decided to straighten. I constantly curled my hair and thought it would be a nice change.

I heard the beep of a car and knew it was Reece. I was ready just in time but knew I was in no rush. Reece usually beeped his car when he was too lazy to come to the door. "Hi marjie" Reece had taken to calling me that nickname. Most of my friends found it cute but I found it super annoying. Ignoring the fact he'd called me that I sat in the car.

Minutes later we arrived at the place we would be drinking. Reece hopped out of the car but just as I was about to open my door he pulled it open letting me hop out before closing. He may have been a gentlemen before but today he was acting like one of those guys from movies. As we entered the bar he opened the door saying "ladies first" and letting me go through before making his way in.

Reece's POV:

I was shaking with nervousness as both Marjorie and I walked into the bar me holding the door for her. I'd invited all of Marjorie's friends including Mia who Charlotte had wanted involved. Every single one of them were disguised and not sitting all together since I had asked for this moment to be recorded from different angles. I had even had to approve their disguises because some of them had bad style. I invited along two of my closest friends along as well as they begged me to allow them to come. I saw no problem with it but they didn't need disguises since Marjorie didn't know them. I looked over to where Charlotte sat with Mia and Carly. She was going to be the one to give the signal when everything and everyone was ready. The signal was a simple thumbs up. I stared for too long and Marjorie started to get suspicious "what are you staring at" she looked in the direction I was looking but I quickly diverted my attention looking somewhere where none of Marjorie's friends. I saw a flicker of movement and noticed Carly's thumb was now up. I then saw her tear out a phone. I had also organised for a special photographer to come in to record it so we could look back on our engagement in years to come.

Once I saw charlottes thumb up I got onto one knee. Marjorie stared at me confused. She was probably thinking id fallen "Marjorie this past year has been the best of my life and it's only for one reason. You. You create joy in my life and make me a better reason I've been dreaming about this moment since our first date. I've known for so long you were the one and I hope you'll say yes. Marjorie will you marry me?" I ask waiting with anticipation. Marjorie's face grows into a wide grin clearly shocked. I was so good at keeping surprises she hadn't even gotten an inkling that I was doing this "yes Reece of course!" Marjorie hurries out of her chair pulling me up from the ground and pulling me into a kiss before hugging me sweetly. After we have a few minutes to enjoy the moment Charlotte, Carly winter and the others rush over pulling Marjorie into a hug one by one even Mia. "Congrats!" Mia exclaimed. She was clearly besotted over Charlotte and have moved on from me.

"Also Marjorie" I pull her away from the group for mere seconds and this doesn't go unnoticed. "Will you move in with me before the wedding this week if you've a chance?" I asked purely out of the blue. I hadn't been expecting it. Marjorie nodded "of course I will Reece I couldn't be happier right now" the two of us go back to the group basking in the fact we were finally getting married. After all the drama of getting together and everything I couldn't be more excited.

They're getting married omg!! The next chapter will be the wedding and sadly after that the story will come to an end :(
