The next morning when I woke up, I slowly got myself dressed and all my stuff together and ready. Aunt Petunia took me to Kings Cross Station, I had my ticket that I had gotten from one of the ministry workers. I walked through the station and immediately came to a stop. 'Platform 93/4'.
"What the hell" I whispered to myself. I wasn't new to magic, so I should've assumed that the platform was going to be hidden. The only problem was, I had no idea how to get onto it.
I sat myself down on a bench between platforms 9 and 10 hoping maybe Harry would come or I'd see someone who looked like they knew what they were doing. I sat there for like 10 minutes growing more and more anxious that I wasn't going to figure this out.
After another minute of worrying, I saw an older boy, he was pushing a cart that like me had an owl and a trunk on it, bingo. He stood directly in front of me and faced the wall looking as if he was going to charge at it.
"Excuse me, I called out" he turned around a raised an eyebrow at me.
"Yes," he asked curiously.
"Are you going to platform 93/4?" I asked cautiously as I realised, I only assumed he was a Hogwarts student.
"yes" he laughed "Do you need help getting onto the platform?".
"If you don't mind" i said through an awkward smile. Once again, he laughed.
"Not at all, all you do is run straight at the wall". It was unusual but, in a world, full of magic it wasn't the most far-fetched idea.
"Just do what I do" and with that, he ran at the wall and just before he was about to collide with it, he simply disappeared. So, without a second thought, I did exactly what he did. I charged at the wall closing my eyes tightly still expecting to crash into it.
I opened my eyes and thankfully I was on the other side. I was met with a gorgeous crimson-red train with the words 'Hogwarts Express' written on the front in gold lettering. I looked up to see a sign with numbers 93/4 on it. Thank Fuck.
The boy who had just helped me moments before was standing there looking at me, waiting for me. "You made it" he said raising both his eyebrows.
"You doubted me" I said smirking at him.
"never" I just laughed, "so what's your name anyway".
"y/n" He once again raised his eyebrows waiting for me to say my last name. I sighed and took a deep breath. "Potter, y/n Potter"
"Oh shit, you're Y/N Potter. I heard rumours about you coming to Hogwarts this year, didn't know they were true". He said clearly caught off guard as to who I was.
"Yep, well here I am. Do you know where Harry would be by any chance?" I asked desperately. I wanted to see him and make sure he was ok, I missed him more than I had thought.
"No sorry, do you want to come sit with me and my friends, if you can't find him." He asked, he seemed like he was being genuinely nice and not just saying this because of who I was.
"yeah, that would be great thanks, but first I don't even know your name" I laughed at him.
"Oh right, sorry, I'm Sebastian Whitlock. I'm a 6th year" he said.
"You know I'm a 3rd year right," I said raising an eyebrow at him questioningly.
"Yeah, but you're new and have no friends, so I assume you're pretty desperate to not sit alone" he softly chuckled. Technically he wasn't wrong I didn't know anyone besides Harry, and he seemed to be avoiding me at all costs, so I agreed and hopped on the train with him. We found his friends sitting in a compartment and joined them.
"I found us a new friend", he said as he opened the door sitting down in one of the spare spaces. There were 5 other boys who all looked to be the same age as Sebastian now staring at me.
"And who might this be" one of them enquired. I didn't feel at all threatened or intimidated as I knew that I could beat them all in a fight if I had to. Despite my age, I am like Harry a fairly powerful witch, if I do say so myself. My DADA teacher at my old school was nice to me, always teaching me new spells that were way beyond what I was required to know as a first and second year.
"Y/N Potter," I said without hesitation this time. Before any of them could respond to me Sebastian stepped in.
"I just had this conversation with her, yes she's moved here, yes she's one of the twins who lived let's move on."
"I can speak for myself thanks" I said smirking at Sebastian. I didn't need anyone to speak for me. I was Y/N Potter for merlins sake.
"Oh, she's feisty, I like her," another boy said, I turned my head towards him still smirking as I sat down in the spare space across from Sebastian.
We continued to talk about this and that, the boys shared stories from their summer break, and they asked me a few of the same questions I get asked every time new people find out about who I am. until I finally spoke up "I'll be back I'm going to go see if I can find harry".
"Ok but take your robes with you, you should get changed." One of the boys I now knew was Benjamin said.
"Oh yeah thanks" I said grabbing my stuff and walking out.
A/N: I don't have much to say, hope you are liking everything so far. I promise the chapters get longer as the story continues. (962 words)
