I woke up in a cold sweat, shaking, my scar burning, and I was breathing heavily. I jolted into a sitting position, trying to catch my breath as I noticed Ginny sitting in her bed, staring at me in mild horror.
"Are you... Are you okay?" she asked, trying to figure out exactly what was happening, her eyebrows knitted together but her expression showing nothing but fear.
"Yeah," I simply spoke as my breathing started to slow down.
We soon got up and got ready for the exciting day, heading downstairs where we ate breakfast and waited for what felt like forever for Ron to get his lazy ass out of bed.
To say I'm grateful for the Weasleys may just be the understatement of the century. They were taking me and Harry to the Quidditch World Championship, which is great, but it's not the best part; because of this, I didn't have to spend all summer with the Dursleys.
Arthur, Fred, George, Ginny, Ron, Harry, Hermione, and I began our walk through the woods. I wasn't entirely sure where we were going, but I didn't really pay it much mind, as my nightmare from the night before was plaguing my thoughts, partly because of its disturbing nature but mainly because it didn't entirely feel like a nightmare; it felt real.
I walked behind the group, my eyes on the ground in front of me, my mind running with many thoughts. We continued to walk for some time before I heard another voice, an unfamiliar voice.
"Arthur!" the voice exclaimed. "It's about time, son," he continued as he approached us.
"Sorry, Amos, some of us had a bit of a sleepy start," Mr. Weasley responded, and we all knew he was talking about Ron, who was tiredly dragging his feet.
Amos was a shorter man with thin glasses; he wore the most grandpa-core hat that I had ever seen upon his head, while his slightly longer grey hair stuck out from underneath. "This is Amos Diggory, everyone. Works at the Ministry with me."
Before any of us could process this new information or introduce ourselves, a young and incredibly attractive man fell from seemingly out of nowhere, landing directly next to Amos.
"And this strapping young man must be Cedric, am I right?" Arthur asked, shaking hands with the boy.
"Yes, sir," he affirmed.
I can't lie, Cedric was hot, and I could tell Ginny and Hermione thought the same as me by the little look and giggle they shared between one another.
We all continued to walk, and I continued to stay at the back of the group, trying not to overthink my dream too much. However, I didn't seem to make it far before I bumped into the back of a stationary Harry, and before I could get mad at him for being in my way, I noticed Amos looking at the two of us, a big smile on his face.
"And Y/N! What a pleasure it is to meet you also," he beamed, turning from Harry and sticking his hand out at me, which I awkwardly shook.
"You too, sir," I said with a small nod.
I decided to push all the thoughts I was previously having to the back of my mind and solely focus on the night ahead.
We continued our journey, and after what felt like hours of walking (it was not hours), we arrived—well, I think we did. All I could see was a boot, a manky-looking boot that had definitely seen better days.
