Standing on a dimly lit, bare stage, The Narrator, in the act of Narration of the presentation.
Narrator: Imagine a world based on our own, but 60 years from now... [he PAUSES, and looks out across the audience attenuating their attention] ... a Cybernetically enhanced dystopian action adventure future in which violence and warfare are the norm, and Peace is a long distant, and often mocked dream of a long lost age.
The inception point that radically altered our timeline into a severe right turn, careening, and spiraling out of control to the extreme right: WW3. It came and went in a flash, lasting less than the two prior conflicts combined. But it altered reality in a melodramatically futureoma kinda way. In the after math, the post war return to conservatism of the old ways, as re-imagined by the politicians of today.
Pence 2nd & Ivanka Jr. in '79, and the retaliatory reactionism from the left that spurned a generation of right-leaning politicians until Baron Trump's rise to fame and triumphant return to public political life as the True New Political Messiah of the Red Right FactionImagine a world with 6-foot perma-pandemic protocols public social distancing already built into the Trumptopian Epic Scale Architecture of every thing built after 2030.
Imagine a world 60 years more mad than the moment we are all living through right now... then multiply it by science fiction cyberpunk 2084 neon flair 80's of the future retro-revisionist day glow special sauce. It hurts the brain a lil, doesn't it? [mind-blown emoji]
That is where our stories within stories begin. In that regrettably foreseeable future that's gone mad off the rails in ways dystopian and retro futuristicalidocious. *[IYKYK the reference, if you don't... we will circle back. ]

60 years in the future, the world is what you might imagine it to be... or slightly worse and more war-torn that you might remember. The shit's unhinged. But everyone's used to it. By Rocket's Red Glare has become the global cultural thematic anthem. The psychological trauma birthright of most everyone around the world. "warfare for warfare's sake" was the fundamental business model that drove the world economic machine, and most everyone joined in without hesitation or second thought. The world keeps grinding along as if reality became what the movie "War Inc"* prophetically proclaimed it might become.
*[IYKYK the reference, if you don't... we will circle back. ]The Meat-grinder of Life and Death and Politics was functioning as designed, churning away and generating profits for those doing the profiteering. Imagine the decades with of future history it would/will/might take for the world to get to where the collective imagination might/shall/will take it in this fictional alternate reality we are establishing here in/on these pages, that you dear reader, are engaged in reading.
That is a lot to try and render in the theatre of the mind, a bloody violent mess to try and depict on the movie screen of the imagination....
Especially without set, setting context or a figure two which an audience can relate.
[a prolonged pause with growing ambient sound effects SFX : "ghosts of generic audience hubbub in abandoned theatre playhouse building sounds"]
Narrator V.O. : [setting the scene] From pitch black, lights glow up slow, shadows emerge and slowly shift... "
Indeed," grumbled the disgruntled elderly officiant standing slightly askew, upstage left still partially obscured by shadows.
Narrator V.O. : [flustered] What's that? "Indeed, i say." responded the disgruntled elderly officiant standing slightly askew, upstage left.
A spotlight brightens on, pointed at and Siloetting the disgruntled elderly officiant standing slightly askew, upstage left against a cinderblock grey scenic flat of gritty texture.
Narrator V.O.: [Confused] Addressing the expectant audience, the character formally known as the disgruntled elderly officiant standing slightly askew, upstage left, speaks up and asserts himself with a new tone of confidence in his voice.
"A gruesome way to live. A senseless way to Die. Everyone played their parts with bloodlust and a twinkle of insanity in their eyes.", continued the disgruntled elderly officiant standing slightly askew, upstage left.
Narrator: Indeed, Indeed, harrumph my good man.
