Blank Note Books Mystery

The Author had never once seen The Writer holding a school Regulation Issue,
"Subject: [ Blank ] Lined & Ruled"  Brand Note Book. 

Not Ever. 

Not Once.

And neither did he himself. 

Betwixt the two of them, there was a grand total of absolutely zero reasons why there should be any such notebooks strewen mysteriously about the house as if left behind by a ghost of the former occupant, let alone just one.  He should know! He was her husband, and they had been cohabitating for time out of mind.

So it was of no great surprise to anyone reading along that when The Author first discovered the unusual rectangle of mostly entirely blank pages, he almost took no notice of it

Bit over time... as he curiously found more and more of them, he became quite mystified.

The Writer could have told you herself that The Author, while quite intelligent, was also a bit obtuse. But she hasn't been here for a while now, and presently can not tell you directly for herself. But you can take my word for it, as a reliable witness to the facts involved.

The Author, snooping about to find the source of these unusually minimalist notes written down in uncharacteristically uncharacteristic fashion, presumably by the Writer, was dismayed to find a hidden treasure trove of identical conspicuously mostly black notebooks, tucked away in a dusty corner of the storage room adjacent to their shared office.

He was mortified.....

The first page of the notebook currently in his hands read ~

The Egg. It sat there.... Awkwardly... no, nail up. Correct that image... The Egg stood there balanced impossibly on its pointy part, upside down, defying all laws of commonly known Physics.

And what was extra alien to the inner Characters is that in their universe, eggs... well, they just do not look quite like that... which made this ovum shaped ... thing... extra uncanny and unnerving.

The question on everyone's mind : "What's inside it?"

Preserve this moment in your mind... that question... this self aware sense of not quite understanding what the actual fuck is going on... sit with it for a moment.

And then dive in with me please, into the theatre of your imagination as we reveal, revisit, retell, reimagine this age old tale as relived in their own "reality" by the following characters as just introduced to you...

And breath... and imagine the following scene...
