Getting To Know You

As soon as I answered Carlisle, Edward and I fell to our knees. The throbbing in my chest was growing and I saw a slight blue glow emanate from both of our chests. The glowing began to get brighter and our backs began to arch, pushing our chests outward and making us float into the air. The throbbing in my chest got even worse until the point where my soul burst out of my chest and floated towards Edward’s. When our souls were almost touching they split into two and swapped halves. When the halves of our souls merged the light they emitted was blinding. As soon as they finished merging, our souls snapped back to our chests, and we lay there stunned. His family rushed over to us with astonishment and confusion on their faces.

    “Bella….what just happened?” This question was sent to me by Edward and his voice sent shivers of pleasure down my spine.

 “Well, Edward. It seems that we’re mates. And I think you already knew that didn’t you? After all, you had to of accepted that fact in order for all of that to have just happened.”

I stood up and brushed the leaves off of my pants. His family all stood around me gazing at me in awe.

“What are you guys staring at?” I followed their gaze to my shirt where there was a whole in the fabric from where my soul had burst out of my chest. Where the skin was exposed, right over my soul, was a tattoo of Edward’s name. “WTF!!!! Edward do you have one of these too?”

“What are you talking abo--oh!! Uh…yeah, I do…”

“Well, this wasn’t in the legend…..” I muttered to myself.

I looked up at Edward and his eyes were full of lust. He rushed towards me and kissed me full on the lips. When he kissed me it was like nothing I’d ever felt before. I gladly kissed him back. I heard someone cough and Edward broke the kiss. When he pulled away it left my lips tingling. He turned to his family (Whom I had completely forgotten was there) and said “Well, what do we do now Carlisle?”

Carlisle looked between the two of us. “Well, she will just have to move in with us, seeing as you are mates, and she has no where else to go.”

I smiled. “Really?”

“Of course, dear. We wouldn’t have it any other way.” Esme was smiling the whole time she spoke. She was very motherly.

“Thank you, Esme. Carlisle. I already have all of my things in the trunk of my car. I didn’t have an apartment or hotel when I came here.”

“It’s no problem.” Carlisle and Esme answered me at the same time and we all burst out laughing.

“Well we should all hunt before we head back to the house. We need the blood if we’re going to be around humans tomorrow.” Carlisle said.

“Of course. I could use a bit more blood myself.”

“GRIZZLY BEARS HERE I COME!!!!” Emmet yelled and took off deeper into the forest with Rosalie trailing behind him.

“Is he always like that?”

Alice was the one who answered me. “Yeah, pretty much. He can’t take anything seriously.”

“Somehow I don’t doubt that Alice.” I said with a giggle.

“We’ll talk later. We need to go hunt and you and Edward probably need to talk.”

“Okay. Later, Alice.” I said as they ran away. I turned to Edward. “So…what should we do?”

“I think we have a lot of talking to do. You already told me your story. Now it’s my turn to tell you mine.”( ****Author**** I’m not gonna rewrite his story so you’ll just have to remember or look it up in twilight.*****) After he finished telling me his story he went on to explain he and his sibling’s powers. “Alice can see the future, Jasper can control emotions, and I can read minds. I can read everyone’s mind but yours. I don’t know why though.”
