Beth’s POV

When I was speaking with Bella about my soul mate something clicked in my hectic head. There was a reason I had come to Forks though I didn’t know what it was or even think anything of it. I was a wanderer. I got feelings similar to the way I needed to come to Forks, but this one was slightly different. Of course, me being me, I disregarded it. But when Bella said the thing about that pull, I realized that must be what it was. It had to be my mate. There was nothing else it could be.

I didn’t know that Bella was here when I made the decision to come here. I simply caught her scent and thought that was what the feeling was. Me needing to find my best friend. So now that I figured out what that pull was, thanks to Bella, I was off to town to see if I could find him. I raced through the forest and into town as fast as I possibly could, pushing myself to my limits.

When I arrived in town, it just so happened to be rush hour, so there were a lot of people around. My head was going back and forth, all over the place as I was spinning in circles trying to get a feeling. They probably thought I was a lunatic, but did I care? Of course not. After I had looked at every face in seeing range, I started to wander through the town. I went into shops I would never normally go into, walked every street, and just as I was about to give up and go back to the Cullens’, I got the feeling that I was being watched. I turned around and watching me from under an awning was my mate.

He was gorgeous. His stormy blue-gray eyes sparkling with amusement. His hair such a dark brown it almost seems black, swooping in front of his right eye. His luscious lips that I just wanted to devour sporting silver snake bites making them that much more irresistible. His skin was pale just like everyone else around here. He had that whole bad-boy-skater-dude look going for him while still looking relatively innocent. It was an interesting combination, but I loved it all the same. I was hypnotized.
