~Michelle's POV~

It was finally time, It was the day of the Lunar Party, and I was buzzing with nerves. I'm literally about to announce to my entire pack that I found my mate and she's the same species as the fuckers that killed their previous Alpha and Luna.

~Oh boy~

I continued to pace in my room, I had given Aaron the rundown of the decorations and other stuff, so I dont need to be there right now.

"Hey Michelle?" I looked over at Kayla, who looked at me puzzled

"Are you sure you should tell the back about me?" She asked, shocking me

"Yeah, why?" I asked

"Well, in telling everyone about ne, doesn't that mean you accept me as your mate?" She asks, making me stop.

I took a deep breath, studying Kayla's face as she waited for my response. The weight of her question hung heavy in the air between us. Did I truly accept her as my mate? Was I ready to stand before my pack and declare our bond, knowing the implications it would have not just for me, but for her as well?

After a moment of silence, I finally spoke, my voice steady despite the storm of emotions raging inside me. "Yes, Kayla," I said, meeting her gaze unwaveringly. "I accept you as my mate, with all that it entails."

Kayla grinned widely "yay, so we can kiss, and hold hands and cuddle and spoon each other" she said happily

I couldn't help but chuckle at Kayla's enthusiasm, her joy infectious as she talked about the simple acts of affection that would now be a part of our relationship.

As we stood there in my room, a sudden knock at the door interrupted our conversation. Aaron peeked his head in, a knowing smirk on his face as he looked between Kayla and me.

"Time to head to the party, lovebirds," he teased.

"Right, Kayla, you go with Aaron. With my signal you'll come kn stage, but please don't just appear " I negged

"Roger" with that she and Aaron left. With one fibal deeo breath I left as well, giing the opposite direction. The rest of the day was filled with festivities.

As the day turned to night, the pack gathered around the bonfire, their faces illuminated by the flickering flames. I watched from the shadows, my heart pounding in my chest as I prepared to make the biggest announcement of my life. The air was charged with anticipation, the energy of the pack palpable as they waited for me to speak.

"Ladies and gentlemen of the pack," I began, my voice ringing out strong and clear in the night air. "Tonight is a special night, not just because we celebrate under the light of the full moon, but because I have an important announcement to make."

Whispers rippled through the crowd, and I saw heads turning as they whispered as to what I could be announcing. "Tonight, it brings me great joy to let you all know that i've finally found my mate," I said, listening to the immediate cheers and hollers from the crowd. "However, here's the part that you all won't like -"

"Its fine if he's a different species!" A pack member yelled

"First, she, and second, great because they're a vampire" As the words left my mouth Kayla stepped oit of the shadows and the entire pack became silent, then there were yells ,but not of joy, of rage.

Angry growls and shouts filled the air as the pack reacted to Kayla's revelation. I could see the shock and betrayal writ large on their faces, their eyes flashing with anger and fear. My heart clenched at the sight of my pack, my family, reacting so violently to the news of my mate's true identity. But I stood my ground, determination hardening my resolve.
