~Kayla's POV~
It has been about a week since Michelle and I's… interaction, in the woods by the lake, and every moment we are close by or make eye contact, I can hear her heart race and see her cheeks flush.
As I sat in the pack's common area, pretending to read a book, I couldn't help but steal glances at Michelle across the room. She was engaged in conversation with some of the other pack members, but I noticed how her eyes would occasionally flicker in my direction. Each time our gazes met, her cheeks would flush, and I could hear the slight uptick in her heartbeat.
I smirked to myself, enjoying the effect I had on her. The memory of our interrupted moment by the lake was still fresh in my mind, and I could tell it was on hers too. The tension between us had been building steadily over the past week like a rubber band stretched to its limit.
My love and adoration, and lust grew for Michelle as time ticked on, I wanted her. I needed her. Regardless, I would never put my hands on her without explicit permission.
Seemingly feeling my gaze Michelle met my eyes. She blushes and excuses herself from her conversation, walking over to me.
Michelle approached me, her steps slow and deliberate. As she drew closer, I could see the intensity in her eyes, a mixture of desire and nervousness.
"Hey," she said softly, sitting down beside me on the couch. Her thigh brushed against mine, sending a jolt of electricity through my body.
"Hi there," I replied, closing my book and setting it aside. "How's your day been?"
Michelle bit her lip, her eyes darting around the room before settling back on me. "It's been... distracting," she admitted, her voice low. "I can't stop thinking about... you know."
I felt a smirk tugging at my lips. "Oh? And what exactly have you been thinking about?"
Her cheeks flushed deeper, and she leaned in closer, her breath tickling my ear as she whispered, "…T-that I need to show you something?” She supplies holding out her hand with a nervous smile.
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her sudden nervousness and the mysterious offer. Without hesitation, I took her hand, feeling the familiar warmth of her skin against mine.
"Lead the way," I said softly, curiosity burning in my veins.
Michelle stood up, gently pulling me with her. We made our way out of the common area, her grip on my hand tightening slightly as we walked. I could hear her heart racing, matching the quickened pace of my own.
She led me through the pack house and out into the surrounding forest. The cool air brushed against my skin as we ventured deeper into the woods, the sounds of the pack fading behind us. Finally, we reached a small clearing bathed in silvery moonlight. “uhm, c-can you close your eyes?”
“Michelle I- okay," I said closing my eyes. I heard her loud and speedy heartbeat along with the rustling of clothes and grass. Then the sounds of bones snapping and cracking? The squelching of flesh and other body parts. Once the noises died down I felt a nudge and opened my eyes, gasping at the sight of the large black wolf before me, its lavender eyes glowing with a familiar intensity.
I stood there, awestruck, as I took in the magnificent creature before me. The black wolf was enormous, easily thrice the size of a normal wolf, with a coat so dark it seemed to absorb the moonlight around it. But it was those eyes - those familiar, beautiful eyes - that held me captivated.
"Michelle?" I whispered, reaching out a hand.
The wolf ducked its head, pressing its muzzle against my palm. The touch sent a shiver through me, a mix of awe and affection. I could feel the warmth of her breath, the softness of her fur.
