Standing in front of me there is a small blonde girl. But not one that I recognize. This one seems like a child. Around five years old maybe? Maybe a little younger? This little girl reaches maybe to my waist, she has bright golden curls and deep stormy blue eyes with a hint of grey in them. She has a bit of a hooked nose and small pink lips.

"Ummm... Who are you?" She asks and I can sense her nervousness. Hell anyone would be. A six foot something man with all muscle and wearing all black shows up at your door you would scream and lock the doors. Now I'm just trying to find out why this kid hasn't. "Oh-" I shake my head from my trance. "My name is Tobias... Tobias Eaton." I say softly and put my hand down for her to shake as I do so I crouch so I'm at her eye level.

"What's your name sweetie?" I ask then shake my head. "Actually don't answer that. You shouldn't be telling strangers your name." I say softly and she finally shakes  my hand. And by hand I mean she shakes two of my fingers. I smile at the sight and soft feel of her hand. So small yet strong.

"Well you told me your name and you don't know me mister." She says in a soft voice and giggles. I smirk and shake my head, little smart mouth. "I mean people who are older than you sweetie." I ruffle her hair and she huffs. "Well there could be an evil bad guy who's a baby." She counters and I smirk and huff. "Fine. Maybe you're right but I still don't want to know. Keep it safe. A name is one of the most important things a person could have." I smile and search her eyes.

She's a beautiful little kid. She smiles and nods "Okay Mr Tobias." I nod and smile and I'm about to ask her who she's with when suddenly I hear a voice. "Delilah? Who's at the door?" The voice calls and instantly I know who it is but I can't believe it. I don't want to get my hopes up. I can't. I suddenly stand up as , I hear feet coming down the stairs behind the girl -Delilah- and suddenly a woman around her twenties comes down in black sweatpants, socks and a tank top with her hair in a messy bun. My breath catches as her grey stormy eyes come in contact of mine and I gulp. I'm pretty sure I'm not the one who looks intimidating this time.

She quickly runs over but only to pull Delilah behind her. "Delilah what have I told you about talking to strangers?!" She says sternly while looking down at her. She sounds upset but more protective. "Tris..." I whisper with wide eyes. "Um excuse me, but you have the wrong person."

She meets my eyes and theres something different about her's. They're no longer warm, but instead have been replaced with a new coldness. Now the look in her eyes matches her colour of her iris: Cold and stormy grey. My heart breaks slightly. "S-sorry... I mean Natalia, that's you right?" I ask and gulp. "How do you know me?" She narrows her eyes at me. "I... I'm an old friend." I reply softly.

"Delilah go in your room and lock the door." Tris says. "Yes mommy." Delilah nods then runs up the stairs, hoping up each one with her curls bouncing behind her. My eyes are wide. M-mommy? She.. oh my god. I ran my fingers through my hair quickly. "Oh God..." I mutter without meaning to.

From the corner of my eyes I see Tri- Natalia raise an eyebrow at me as if I was crazy. Maybe I am... maybe this is all a dream and in a few seconds I can wake up back in my bed in Dauntless and have Tris in my arms again... God I wish. Everything was so much more simple then... sort of anyways.

"What the hell do you want and why were you talking to my daughter?" She crosses her arms at me and stands in a sturdy and tall position, like a mountain that can't be moved. At least she's still stubborn like always. "Well why the hell do you let a toddler open the front door?" I shoot back as I stand tall again, yet again towering over her but her expression doesn't change.

"I was in my room putting her-" She abruptly stops and scoffs then shakes her head. "I don't have to explain myself to you. I don't know you!" She glares at me then narrows her eyes. "What the hell do you want? I suggest you start talking." She watches me like a hawk. As I search her intense eyes I smile slightly.

I can't help it then as I whisper, "You wouldn't believe me if I tried." All she whispers in return is "Try me." I can't help my smirk as I lean against the doorframe. "It's a long story." I mention with a teasing shrug. "I don't have work till tomorrow, is that long enough for you?" Sarcasm drips from her lips and I can't help but love every second of it. "Maybe, I might be willing to rush. On one condition." I hold up my index finger to represent the on condition. "And what's that?" She asks with a long sigh and rolls her grey eyes.

"Do you know how to make chocolate cake?" I grin.
