I've been keeping my first few chapters around the same length, but as we get further along into the story, I will make the chapters longer as well. The heavier the arc, the longer the chapters, am I right hahaha? Oh god (Summit War saga, Dressrosa, Wano).
After we'd gotten further away from Loguetown, Luffy and Nami stayed outside to continue watching for the Grand Line entrance. I, however, did not wanna be out in the rain any longer than I already had to be, so I went into the room I'd now be sharing with Nami so I could start setting up my stuff.
"Hmm. Well this certainly is a predicament I am in."
I had no bed to call my own. The room wasn't that big either, so if I made a bed for myself, I'd have to make sure it didn't crowd the room. I just closed my eyes and snapped my fingers, and a new bed popped into existence.
God, what do people without my ability do? I'd be screwed, that's for sure.
I grabbed the potted plant in the corner of the room and threw it through one of my "windows", so I could shove my bed into place.
I'm sure Nami won't miss it. But just to be nice, I'll make a new and smaller one.
A little bonzai tree appeared on the desk we'd now share.
Yay! It looks so cute and homey in here! Now, I just need to add a few more things for me in here and I'll be done!
Of course, the first thing I pulled out of my "window" was my perfectly put away Cavendish poster. I slapped that baby right on the wall by my bed so I could look at his gorgeous face whenever I got lonely or sad.
I pulled out some blankets and pillows and set them up nicely on the bed, before grabbing some clothes and putting them in the dresser near me.
After a bit more decorating, the last thing I needed to place was a framed picture of me and Thunder. I put it on the nightstand right next to my bed, giving it a wistful look.
"I miss you, Thunder. I hope to see you again one day though, on Redrock."
I wiped my eyes before pulling my sword out of the "window" I had opened next to me. Well, there's never really a good place to keep it, so I'll just lean it against my bed.
Looking around the room, I felt so accomplished with what I'd done. This looks way better than my room in my dream space, but then again, I've used that room for 11 years or something, so of course it would be in terrible shape. Just give it time, and this room will look just as bad in the blink of an eye.
My back was killing me after taking that direct hit from that lightning earlier, so maybe I could just lie down and have a 'lil snooze before getting to the Grand Line
Right as I was going to lie down for that nap, however, Nami slammed the door open and grabbed me by the wrist, dragging me out of the room. No! My recovery nap! So much for trying to make myself feel better.
"What's going on, Nami? Is everything okay?" The redhead looked back at me and reassured me, "Yes, everything is fine. I just need you and the others to see what I'm about to show you all." I let out a sigh of relief, happy to know that it wasn't anything bad. Or could it be? Overthinking Y/n incoming.
We went into the galley and I noticed all the boys were already sitting at the table, making me realize I kept them waiting. Great, I'm late for my first crew meeting. Why can't I ever be on time for things?
"Oh, sorry guys. I didn't mean to keep you waiting. I wasn't too long, was I?"
Sanji turned to me, hearts in his eyes again as he turned to face me, "You could never keep us waiting, Y/n!" I definitely preferred his clinginess over Zoro's meanness, so I know who I can hang with if the mosshead is bothering me.
