"Hey! Would you watch where you're going!?"
I looked at the green-haired man next to me on the ground and the only thing I could hear in my head was "HOT. HOT. HOT."
Damnit, this is no time to have these thoughts, Y/n! Get your mind out of the gutter!
After all, how would you feel if he was thinking about you that way?
"Can you hear me? I said watch where you're going!"
The green-haired man's words pulled me out of my muddled thoughts. Now, why's he gotta be mean to me? It was an accident. I narrowed my eyes at him and retaliated, "Well, why don't YOU watch where YOU'RE going? If YOU'D been paying attention, YOU wouldn't have knocked ME over." My words seemed to have upset the man because he gritted his teeth and narrowed his eyes back at me.
"I could say the same to you! Why weren't you looking where you were going?!" I turned my body to face him and sat crisscross before pointing a finger at him. "I happened to be wondering about where I'll be living in a few hours because I am temporarily homeless! I doubt you have a better excuse than me!" My excuse seemed to have caught his attention, because a mocking smile came across his face.
"Homeless, eh? And why would you be homeless?"
Great, now I'm gonna get made fun of by some random loser.
I tried to hide my embarrassment and retorted, "Well, not that it's any of your business, but my boat happens to be very old and can't sail anymore, so I'm trying to scam someone into buying it for 12,000,000 berries so I can find myself a new boat. That a good enough answer for you?" The man just laughed at me, making me more pissed. Why does a relatively handsome guy have to be mean to me? Insert sad face.
"You're trying to sell your boat for 12,000,000 berries, even though it's on its last legs? Do you honestly think anybody would buy that?"
I huffed and folded my arms like a child, responding to him, "They wouldn't know it's on its last legs! Why would I tell them that? I wouldn't make any money then!" The man nodded his head in agreeance.
Good. At least he can understand my thought process. And I'm smart, so who cares if he thought my idea was stupid? I definitely don't care.
"Where is this boat of yours? I wanna see if it's actually worth 12,000,000 berries, or if you're not only lying to people, but ripping them off as well. I'm curious." He stood up and surprisingly offered me a hand. I gave him a slightly shocked look, before accepting his hand.
"It's over in this direction. Follow me." I lead the way out of the alley we'd been sitting in, bringing us back out into a crowd. He didn't seem to like being told what to do, so he walked next to me instead of behind me.
Whatever, he may possibly help me with my boat, so whatever makes him happy, I guess.
"So what's with the white hair? Is it natural?"
Why is he asking about my hair? Has he caught on to me?
I glanced over to him before saying, "It's as natural as the green hair that grows from the top of your head. Like a mossball."
He didn't like that nickname apparently.
"Well your hair looks like a pile of snow. Which is not a compliment, by the way."
Grrr! I like my white hair! Why's he gotta make it seem like it's a bad thing?
Throwing my hair over my shoulder, I made sure to smack him in the face with it. Take that you mossball. Snow beats moss any day of the week. I walked a little faster after doing that, not wanting to hear him scream at me.
