Oh my Oh my... Is this true? I am a cat.... !!!!

RUN GIRL RUN!!!!

I had to say, what does it take for a whole mansion to be in chaos? Easy... just one cat!!! For real, it just takes one cat and two brothers to chase the cat and everyone was chasing after me. This was starting to reg so ridiculous that I sprinted around the mansion. Each time I wanted to get out, someone screamed "CLOSE THE DOOR!" and it was closed. So I was basically trapped running around.

WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE?!

Don't you all have a better thing to do?

Like how about cleaning this mansion or do something else?

I don't know!!!

Why are around 20 people running after me?!!!!

This is.... WHAAAAAAAT!

If I could cry right now, I would definitely cry while running because this was so ridiculously insane and made no sense. Not only was I running around but the people started increasing and it was in such a scary rate that I had to dip towards the duke's office. I was just glad that he opened the door to see what was going on. After all it was quite loud with how they were all screaming "GET THAT CAT!!". Whelp, only chane out was this man and I kinda thought he would be so much better than Derrick and Reynold for sure. 

So when the duke came out of his office, he was baffled when a cat jumped into his arms and knocked him over a bit. I mean he was stumbling backwards since I took him by surprise but he definitely managed to catch himself so I could be in his arms. 

Gosh was I exhausting and shivering. He was now the only person who could save me. I had to show him my best side. So what I did was look at him with huge eyes and made a small cute mew. I hoped it was enough to catch his attention. The duke seemed to look at me and be surprised but soon started to ruffle my head and then look at his sons.

Duke: What is the meaning of this?

Reynold: That damn.... cat...... 

Derrick: I am sorry for the commotion father. 

Duke: Anyone explain why you all were chasing one cat.

Reynold: IT JUST-

Derrick: It's Penelope's.

Duke: Hers? And why are you all chasing such an adorible cat?

Reynold: Adorible? That thing is a -

Derrick: It escaped.

Duke: No wonder, did you all treat it nicely? Where is Penelope anyways? Isn't this her cat?

Reynold: ....

Derrick: .... She....

Penel: She went missing. We are currently searching for her.

Duke: WHAT?!

He stopped patting me but instead pushed me closer to him which made me mew. Soon he stopped and looked at me before turning his back to everyone with a "Find her." and brought me into his room. It was such a change of atmosphere that I didn't really think it was possible. I always thought they were hating me but the way how my father reacted I had a different idea about this.

Duke: *sigh* Where did she go?.... And... When did she get a cat? I wonder what's your name....

Me: Mew.

Duke: hahaha, of course you can't tell me that.

He went to his seat and dropped there with a hand over his face and his eye. Yeah, this was not the behaviour of someone being mad or fuming. This was a worried father not knowing how to actually act. While watching him, I couldn't help but walk over and jump on his lap to try to comfort the man. He was after all my father and even if he didn't really treat me like a daughter, I still pittied him seeing how his state was right now.

Duke: Are you trying to comfort me?

Me: Mew.

Duke: Thank you.

How can I not?

You seem worried....

Besides even if I would be here... you would probably react different knowing that I am the cat...

This is kinda nice.

Should I get comfortable and just accept this?

Am I allowed to do that?

Is this maybe the life I could have gotten?

Where did things even turn vary?

He seemed to like me... he seemed to care and even overthrow me with a lot of different things.

.... but all I wanted was attention....

Is he so busy?

Or does he not know how to act?

I was confused right now but I decided to just stick with the role of a cat and try to find out what I could do. For now, I needed a place and being by the duke's side was definitely better than my brothers... Reynold was a hard pass.... Derrick... ah I don't know.. he seemed nice towards a cat but I really wasn't to sure if I wanted to stick with him.

Let's just wait and see how this day would continue.
