I could totally understand why he was on edge. There as fairly enough I knew about this man that made me dangerous plus why should he help me out here? Was there something I could offer him? No, there was nothing I had that would be helping him at all.
Winter: How did you know about me?
Me: Same way how I ended up as a cat.... you think I wanted to be a cat?
Winter: No. Why did you even come to me?
Should I lie?
Do I have another way than to lie?
Me: I don't have anyone else to ask for help... you are my only hope to get me back to being a human.
To be honest, I had a story that I could tell how I ended up as a cat since I can't just say, I woke up as a cat and that is that. The story I was in was deadly for me. One wrong move and that would be it. Would I be able to afford that? I was scared of death but I was more scared of pain than anything else so I would definitely take any lie that could get me out of my situation.
Winter: How did you even end up in this kind of situation?
Me: How about someone who hates you did this?
It was a farfetched lie but it was the only one I had right now to get me out of here. Surely he would feel sorry and would trie to solve this situation if I would say that.
Me: How do you think I know about you being a magician which is not that usual nowadays?!
Winter: Do you know who it was?
Me: People with a black robe.
Winter: TSK! So they know... I am sorry for dragging you into this.
HUH?!
Now I was confused. It was common sense that the bad guys more or less always had black robes. Then there was also the fact that everyone definitely had one or two secrets and seeing as his would be his magical ability, I just simply guessed that there was more to it since he was hiding it so well. Besides I think there was something else going on in the story about magic but I didn't paid much attention to that but Ivonne and her love interests which he was too.
Me: Can you reverse this? I can pay you? I can even take care of anything else you ask... please! I don't know what to do.... I... I would need to live on the streets... hutning mices.
Winter: I've never seen something like this.
Me: Me neither but can you do something? I will do anything you ask. Literally anything.
Winter: Does your family know?
Me: No and they don't care.
Winter: .... I'll inform-
Me: NO! I mean no...
Winter: .... Is there something going on, I should know about?
Me: Nothing to be concerned about.
Winter: They are your family, they should know about where you are.
Me: And what do you wanna tell them? I am a cat and you are a wizard?
Winter: I thought more about telling them that you are safe.
Me: HAH! As if they care!
Alright, I was a bit iffy here but I didn't care at all. It was the truth. No one besides the duke would care and even then, he wouldn't if they would know where Ivonne was. I was just a fake anyways. Maybe I should make them meet Ivonne while I am at it.
Me: How about thelling them where Ivonne, their real daugther is and they will forget about me.
Winter: You know where she is?
Me: Kinda have a hunch... they were searching everywhere but I saw her the other day at an event where they were giving out food... soooo she is in the city. You can bring them to her or her to them. Do whatever.
With that, I didn't wanted to discuss it anymore and was ready to leave going back out to the streets but the door was closed and no window was open so I jumped off the table and went to a place where I wouldn't really get anything dirty to lay on the floor. Winter apparently had different ideas since he came to me and picked me up before going through some kind of portal, wall, door thingy and we found ourselves in a different space. I could hear children voices but that was the least of my concern.
He was petting me and I liked it... no like is an understatement. I loved it and started purring. I was sure I could hear him chuckle at my reaction but I was already on cloud nine with how comfy this was to actually pay attention to anything else.
