CRASH!

My weakened body slams against the barriers of this sick freak's domain, and I feel my conscious fade a little more. When did I get so weak?

"You make me laugh, all that talk and you can't even scratch me!" The worm-like entity heckles me again. I can't even muster the words to make a witty comeback.

"Well... at least you... I..." I sputter as my vision dims. The being cackles more and I feel myself get even weaker.

Weaker...

Weak... er...

...

I find myself back in my own mind, pondering what I could've done differently. "Maybe if you didn't let your friends get captured, they would've saved you like they always do!" I blurt at the void in front of me.

"You're just like that guy said! You're pathetic!" My own thoughts jab into my flat plane of a head, and I feel like I'm bleeding out again.

Suddenly, I'm awake again. Although I feel more drained than ever, and there's a strange green blob above me. Wait...

"SHIT!" I scramble back up and muster all the strength I can to run as far away as possible. The adrenaline flows through me like a drug, and just as I'm riding the high the injuries I sustained kick back in almost instantly, bringing me right back down to the floor.

The worm guy is howling at this point with my terrible performance. I glance over to him and see G dangling from one of his shadowy fingers, and I realize how terribly screwed I am.

"Put him down! Please! I'll do anything!" I beg as tears flow like rivers from my eyes.

"Friends... what a lovely thing to have," the worm being croaked, "too bad they only hold you back."

Suddenly, I see the life fall from G's eyes. I cry out as the worm grins. "I can see right through you. You want your old, simple, foolish life back." The worm etches a smile onto his one eye,

"Well, you aren't getting it back. My dimensional transport here will take you far from here, with no chance of returning. Relish the pain as you fall into another universe's space."

The green blob envelopes me, and instantaneously I feel immense burning, shock, and any other pain one could feel. I feel arms sprout out from my side and my body is crushed into a more sphere like composure. I feel a carapace grow over me and I lose my sight for a brief moment, only for my eyes to pop right back through my new shell. I look around, only to find everything and nothing between me. I feel overwhelmed, yet at peace. I try to reach out and feel, but I realize I can't move. So here I am, drifting through nonexistence until this blob finds me a suitable universe.
