GEO
I can't see a thing beside me, but I can feel everything humming and my sight focusing in on this bastard shark thief. I forgo thought and jump right into action, claw stretched out as if to tear his head right off.
But right before I could grab him, he spins around and faces me with an expression that I can't quite describe.
"Well what've we got 'ere?" He growled. Suddenly, I was smacked out of the way mid-air and sent careening at a spiral rack of colorful dresses with flowers and stuff like that embedded on them.
CRASH
I rub my head with the clawless arm, and scramble right back up. I spot Ace quivering in place, not knowing what to do.
"ACE! HELP ME OUT HERE!" I shout at him, which drags him right back to reality. He looks startled then, as if his fuse was lit, explodes right into action with me.
"Well I'll be damned!" The shark bellowed with a deep laugh, "Your jellyfish friend 'ere learned how to use them legs of 'is!"
""S-s-SHUT UP!" Ace stammers as electricity cackled around him. I ready myself for another jump, and fling myself towards the shark.
In what seems like an instant, we're both on him, throwing any kind of punch we can muster up. I only realize now that he was around four times my height and size. Ace's electric shock seemed to paralyze him mere seconds after contact, but as if to punctuate my thought he fell over and started snoozing.
After a little bit of heavy panting and looking around, a small voice made themselves aware.
"Hello? Darling?" I glance around, "Yes, you, the crab." Then I find the source. My eyes fall upon a fish with one of the biggest eye gaps I think I've ever seen.
"Hi! The names Janine, sweetie." The fish smiles and waves in the middle aged mom kind of way. I stare blankly and words escape me to respond. She only looks around my height, so if she meant to attack, she's probably failed a sneak advancement.
"Are you mute or just thinking what to say?" Janine snaps me back to reality and I quickly sputter a response.
"Names Geo. Uuhh.. I'm here with... there was... uhhh..." I stammer and fall over myself, and gesture to the body of the shark thief me and Ace took down only minutes ago.
"My goodness! What didn't you do to him?" She stared at the body, dumbfounded, and then glanced over to Ace and gasped.
"Who is this?" She frantically blurted.
"Oh that's just Ace, he fell over and started napping after exerting himself a little too much, or at least that's what I think happened." I calmly explained. Janine calmed down and accepted that he's probably asleep.
"Well, you said the shark was a thief? I guess you deserve something for saving my store!" Janine turned to me and smiled.
"You really mean it? I don't think I deserve it, after all Ace did more of the work than me." I kick the floor and stare down.
"Oh don't be silly, come to the back with me. I'm gonna get you some prosthetics and clothes to cover up that mangled body of yours." Janine beckoned me to follow her, and without a care in the world I start trailing her, unknown to the horrors in the corner of my eye.
???
CRASH
"God, can these people be any louder? I'm not sure how much longer I can sustain living in these walls if one more person jumps in and tries to rob Jane. Was that even her name? Meh, who cares."
