GEO
I've awoken. I glance to my right, then my left.
"Where's my left?"
I try to look at my left claw, maybe grab something to see if it's just me going crazy, when I realize I can't feel anything. I reach over with my right and find nothing.
"Oh my god..." I stutter out loud.
"You've lost your left eye and hand, I'm sorry. There was nothing I could do. I assume the crash took them out." An unknown voice came from my blind-side, causing me to flinch.
"WHO ARE YOU??" I spin to the voice to see a jellyfish with some kind of marking at the top of his head staring me down. But oddly, not in an intimidating way. He looked kind.
"Ace Jelly, the moon jelly who saved you from the brink of death!" He winks and does a dumb pose, which makes me chuckle.
Then it hits me again. I still don't know who I am. I can barely even hold onto the hatred of Paco, as if it drifted down the canals of my mind. The jelly guy must've noticed, because he quickly caught himself and went back into a therapist's composure.
"Are you in pain? Can you remember what you were doing? Did you see a meteor? When did you-" He stops himself and seems to get upset, but I can't quite tell why.
"I don't know anything. I don't know who I am or why I'm here. All I know is that I have to find some guy called... uhhh..." I trip over my own words, and the jellyfish relaxes slightly, as if he realized how screwed I am.
"I think his name started with a P." I can barely remember what he looked like at this point, and I focus so hard to pull back anything, ANYTHING that would help me here.
I find myself in my mind, again. It's like a blank canvas, awaiting my brush to create pieces of memory. A faint ringing strikes my ears, or whatever I use to hear. But then it comes to me.
I escape the reaches of my mind, finding the strength to talk, using whatever bastions of my mind remain from the apparent collision.
"I am..."
"Geo."
The Jellyfish guy nods.
"Is that all you can remember?" His eyes focus on me, with a look that isn't exactly a squint. I can't read his expression past an investigative nature. He thinks, then seems to dismiss it.
"If that's the case, I'll leave it at that. You should come with me. I know places to get you fixed up and fed." He stops himself again, but I can't quite tell why.
"You said food?" I blurt as my interest rises in his offer. I can't even remember the last good meal I had.
I sense an air of excitement around Aid, or whatever his name was, and follow him to what seems to be a bustling city.
"I wonder if I can recall anything else?" I think to myself as we come up to a place with a sign I can't read, but with a heavenly scent protruding from the door.
