Was the day after Thanksgiving and Maia was relaxing it out on the porch with Nicole.
"I still can't believe I'm hanging out with the kennedys, the freakin kennedys. I mean that's your literal ex boyfriend right there, still a dick for what he did though"
Ava said as Maia watched jack from a distance while he was having a chat with Bobby on the front porch .
Jack looked over at maia and she instantly looked away.
The kennedy family invited them for a day to come and swim in the pool.
A whole day with Jack at the pool? This is about to get extremely awkward.
1 hour later
Everyone seemed to be outside , while the kids were swimming, the adults were having a conversation.
Maia decided that was going to get in the water with the kids instead of having a conversation with everyone else.
She really felt someone's eyes on her as she took her dress off revealing her bikini. She didn't care at this point and just wanted to be in the water.
Well she felt everyone's eyes on her now and she walked with her towel.
She wasted no time in getting in the water. She just wanted to relax and cool off.
For about 5 minutes with herself, she swam over to the kids and played ball with them in the water. Jack's son was really taking a liking to her and wanted to be around her all the time. She didn't mind.
"Fuck" she thought to herself.
Jack was getting up and getting ready to get in the pool. He swam for a little while before he made his way over to maia and little John.
"I see you're having fun with Maia" Jack said
"I am" little John said to his dad before swimming away leaving jack and Maia alone.
Everyone practically went inside.
Her heart started beating like never before. She was officially alone with Jack in the pool. In the POOL.
"Nice day out huh" Jack said trying to make small talk
"Yeah sure" Maia responded awkwardly
There was silence for about 2 minutes before he broke it.
"How have you been?" he asked her
"I've been really good, you?" she replied followed by a question for him asking as if he wasn't running an entire country
"Good, can't complain" he responded
"That's really nice to hear" she said giving him a smile
Maia wanted to get out of the pool but didn't want to seem rude by leaving him there. Oh wait he left her too 10 years ago.
"Remember when we used to play ball in this pool" she asked
"I do remember" he said with a laugh
"Wanna play for old times sake?" she asked jack
"Yeah okay I'm totally down" he said giving her a smile after giving an answer

"That's so unfair John!" she yelled at him for holding the ball up in the air so she couldn't get it
"Not my fault you're too short" he said laughing at her in front of him
"Oh this isn't over Jack Fitzgerald" she replied laughing then suddenly stopped after she realized what she said.
She hadn't called him that ever since he left her.
He realized it too and just stared at her with a small smile.
Their chemistry was beginning to build up and they both felt it.
Maia's heart began to beat rapidly and decided she wanted to get out of the pool.
"Uh I think i better get going" she said sounding nervous while getting out
"Sure" he said getting out of the pool then wrapping her towel around her
She felt his touch and suddenly all the memories came flooding back to her. She tried brushing it off and turned around to face him.
"I'll see you at supper tonight" she said before she hurried off to go home.
He just stood there and watched her go
"Why did I ever let her go all those years ago" he thought to himself, regret filling in his mind.
