I clawed against his grip as he leans in.

"I told you to run didn't I?" I coughed loudly as his grip tightens around my neck. I closed my eyes tightly.

"So tell me princess why are you still here?" I tried getting out of his grip but it was too firm and strong. I was starting to see black dots and my vision was starting to get blurry.

Just as I thought that I was done for, his grip was suddenly gone. I fell down, and coughed for air.

I was shaking so bad and me crying wasn't really helping my breathing situation. My vision was still slightly blurry but I can see a pair of legs in front of me.

"Get the hell out Nathan" I heard someone growl dangerously.

Daniel?

Wait what.

I pushed myself off the floor, holding the tree for support as I looked at the scene in front of me.

Daniel was standing in front of me, in a fighting stance and so did the other man across him who I'm guessing is Nathan.

Nathan's eyes were gleaming with something that really bothered me. It was like h e was planning something. He took one last look at me, making me back off if possible further into the tree.

"Okay" He put his hands up in the air, showing the sign of surrendering. He looked at me, smiling widely before winking. Then he was gone.

Silence enveloped us as I rest my head against the trunk of the tree, not caring whether the atmosphere was awkward. My heart beat was starting to gradually slow down as my breathing gradually became normal.

I was still holding my neck which I'm pretty sure is gonna be bruised and sore tomorrow.

"Why did you stop?" I heard Daniel break the silence. To say, I was still surprised that him and me can have normal conversations every now and then.

"What?" I winced when my throat throbbed.

"Why did you stop, you were free" He looked down at me. His eyes a dark shade of red, making me close my eyes.

Oh come on. Time out of attacks, like damn.

"I don't know" I shrugged, wincing slightly. Was he watching me, us the whole time? If he was, why didn't he stopped me when I was running away?

I mentally scoffed, it's not like I'm trapped here anyway. I mean I could just leave anytime. If it wasn't for Ethan I wouldn't even be here!

"Don't lie!" He growled at me, making me open my eyes.

"I wasn't gonna leave" I whispered, barely audible. I can feel his intense glare on me. Gathering the strength I had left, I forced myself to lift my head up to look at him.

"I promised remember?" I said softly to him. I watch him as the red shade in his eyes started to fade.

"You're crazy" He looked away making me chuckle lightly.

"Yeah so I've heard. I almost got killed today because of that" I sighed deeply before standing up. No, before trying to stand up.

I gripped the trunk tightly as my surroundings swirled around me.

"Holy shit" I cussed under my breath.

"You shouldn't walk alone, especially in the woods"

"So I've been told" I said, leaning my head against the trunk.
