I stared at the floor as million thoughts rush through my brain, only to be interrupted by a soft muffled scream, this time it was louder and this time I didn't imagined it. Then a loud thud followed. Yup definitely did not imagine it.
I cracked open my door and looked outside. It was already 12 in the morning and hearing a muffled scream and a dull thud is not the best thing.
It was so quiet outside as I tiptoed my way towards Daniels' room. It's ironic how close my room and Ethan's room to his.
I gently placed my ears on his door, silently praying that I wouldn't hear anything. Another muffled scream reached my ears and I closed my eyes, oh joy. With shaking hands I gripped the doorknob, quietly opening it. It quickly softly as I opened the door. The room was completely empty. There was no one in here. I touched my forehead. Was I this stress? I shook my head, disagreeing with myself. It was probably a side effect of going to the library.
Just as I was about to leave the muffled voice returned this time followed by a dull thud making me flinch back.
I scanned the room, wondering where the sound was coming from. I waited for the sound to come back and it did. I mentally prayed it didn't to be honest. It was coming from the closet, great.
I took slow, shaky steps towards the awfully large closet. I gripped the cold metal door closing my eyes as I felt the vibration and movement of whatever it was inside.
I opened my eyes and pulled open the door. At first it was just some plain clothes but suddenly a dark shadow began to appear and falling down. I screamed and jumped back, tripping over my own feet sending me to fall down. I covered my mouth as tears brimmed my eyes, there was a body. A bloody body in that closet and the worst part was, it was still breathing.
Stupidity got to my brain as I approached it with caution. God it was still breathing. After that fall? I would have drifted to never land.
I grabbed its head, grimacing as it made a squishy sound. Why am I doing this? I turned it over and gasped out loud as I stared at the face of a girl.
It was Rose.
Tears fell down my face as I looked at her once smooth and delicate skin that was now covered with blood. Her neck was bitten repeatedly, making a deep wound. Her right foot was dislocated as she stares at me with wide eyes. I caressed her cheeks, silently crying. All hell broke loose when she suddenly grabbed my wrist making me scream.
"H-help" She croaked out before slumping down. Her hand went limp on mine as I stared at her, shocked.
"R-rose?" I whispered, scooting closer to her.
Nothing.
"H-hey Rose" I shook her.
Still nothing.
I shook her shoulders softly. Then the most disgusting and most horrific thing happened.
Her head rolled towards me when I shook her.
I screamed before running towards the door. A familiar old lady appeared in front of the door, looking startled. I bumped into her as she tried to calm me down. She was whispering things I couldn't understand so I just shook my head.
"It's okay" She removes my hair in front of my face as I shook my head viciously.
"No! N-no!" I cried into her shoulders as she hugs me. I continued to shake my head.
"I-I can't do this" I pulled back to see her sad reaction. I just continue to shake my head as I brushed past her.
I wiped my nose only to realize that it was covered in blood. I looked at my shaking hands only to realize that they were both covered with blood. I let out a cry as I hear her call my name, begging me to stay. I looked back at her, not ashamed of how I look with blood all over my body as tears roll down my face.
