A few days had passed since Y/N had first arrived in Pelican Town. The residents had hosted a small welcoming party to welcome Y/N, although it mostly consisted of them handing out their business cards.
"Mhmm another day!" Y/N stretched out, getting out of bed.
Y/N made herself some breakfast and went through her mails as she ate. There were a few mails, some from her father and the others from Mayor Lewis and Willy
"Dear Y/N I've recently come across a mew fishing rod and would like to give you my old one if you stopped by the beach later today -Willy"
"A fishing rod should be useful...." Y/N thought to herself
Y/N spent her morning farming and cleaning more of the place up before heading towards the beach.
On her way there she passed by Sam who seemed engrossed in his game. Then she saw Haley who was coming out of her house.
Seeing how Haley had seen her, Y/N thought it would be rude of her to not say hello and waved at her.
To which she was ignored, Haley walked on, ignoring Y/N leaving her confused. A snicker can be heard from behind her.
"She really doesn't like you huh? Don't worry she'll warm up sooner or later" Sam spoke, his eye never leaving his phone, his hands going ham on it.
"...I guess..." Y/N brushed it off and went to finally meet Willy
"You're finally here! Here, this is my bamboo fishing rod although its not as good as mine....it still gets the job done" Willy handed over his fishing rod
"Thank you Mr. Willy! I'll be sure to use it well" Y/N beamed
"Ah...finally someone who loves fishing. Do drop by if you ever need supplies pr even sell your catches" Willy waved before entering his store
Y/N decided to test out the fishing rod and spent a few hours by the sea. She managed to catch a few fishes, causing her to reek of fish
As she made her way back to sell them, she saw Haley who seemed to be coming back from wherever she had been.
Y/N contemplated on whether she should acknowledge her or not.
"....You....reek of fish..." Haley had a slight disgust on her face as she hurried back into her house
"....Well she isnt wrong" Y/N agreed and moved on to sell those fishes and to get rid of the stench thats filling her nostrils.
"Y/N! Hold up!" Abigail called out runningout of Pierre's Store
"Woah you smell really bad right now..." Abigail backed up a little as soon as the stench hit her
"Ive been told....what is it?" Y/N asked diverting Abigail from how bad she smelt
"Oh! Right, there's a festival that's going to happen soon and Mayor Lewis asked me to tell you but I forgot so here I am!" She giggled
"Festival? What kind of festival" Y/N asked, a little curious
"We call it the Flower Dance festival, its when the guys and girls dance and one of us gets chosen as the Flower Queen" She explained
"Wow, never knew you guys did things like this"
"Believe me theres more to come" Abigail chuckled, playfully slapping Y/N's arm
"Oh and its tommorow afternoon so....bye!" Abigail ran off, back into the store
"Huh!? Tommorow!?" Y/N called out to Abigail's running figure who only laughed as she went in the store.
Y/N cursed under her breath and walked back to her house unaware that a pair of eyes were watching her that night.
Back at Y/N's house, she was preparing herself a meal before sleeping for the day.
She went through her clothes to find something decent enough to wear for the Flower Dance festival.
The next morning, Y/N did her usual chores and headed straight to Robin's place to get some furnitures
"Hey Robin!" Y/N waved, entering the house
"Good morning Y/N, what would you like to get done today?" Robin leaned over the counter, placing the catalogue in front of her
Y/N and Robin had a conversation on what to do with Y/N's soon to collapse house and decided it was best to patch things up first
"A renovation should be done, I can patch the broken parts of the house amd even increase the size of your house for more space" Robin suggested as Demetrius's muttering could be heard from his lab
"...*sigh*...Give me a moment Y/N" Robin went over to Demetrius's lab and started asking if he could keep it down a little, and an argument broke out.
Y/N tried her best to drown out the noise but it just kept getting harder as the argument kept getting worse by the second.
"...They're at it again.....Y/N? What are you doing here?" Sebastian appeared, descending from the stair
"Well...I came to have my house fixed and well..." Y/N trailled off and Sebastian understood what she meant.
"You can leave a note and come back tommorow..." Sebastian suggested
"I will do that" Y/N wrote a note about what she wants done and mentioned that she would stop by again sometime soon.
Before Y/N had left the front door, Sebastian had stopped her, holding her gently by her sleeve.
"Y/N.....could you keep this to yourself?" Sebastian had a worried expression on bis face
"You have my word Sebastian...oh and here" Y/N gave him some berries and waved goodbye
"...Berries...?" Sebastian looked at it conflicted and just stuffed them in his pockets.
Y/N sold off all her catches and managed to get herself quite a hefty sum of money.
Y/N finished her day early and went to bed by 8pm
