"...Coming! Just, give me a minute!" A honeyed voice called out from behind the door.
Waiting by the door, Y/N looked at her own reflection on the mirror, checking to see if she looked like a mess
Well, she looked good. She had tried buying different kinds of clothing recently and thought of wearing them today.
She wore a dark red shirt and a jeans overall as well as a straw hat that she though complimented her farmer look.
"Hey! Sorry to keep you waiting- Y/N...?" Haley finally opened the door and was greeted by the Y/N with a flower pot
"Hey...uhm sorry for interrupting, I came by to give you something.." Y/N uttered, trying her level best to not let her voice crack out of nervousness
And to make things worse, Haley hadn't said a single thing after she had said that, making her feel even more on edge as she tightened her grip on the flower pot.
Haley on the other hand was checking the farmer out, letting her eyes wander, scrutinizing every detail.
Her eyebrows were furrowed and her arms were crossed. That expression of hers made Y/N start to cave in, thinking up ways to run from there immediately.
"...H-haley? Is something wrong?" Y/N tried hiding herself behind the flowerpot, she didnt like how long Haley's been looking at her
"Huh? Oh no, nothing, everything is fine.." She replied, her eyes still looking up and down.
"Did you get a new wardrobe...? You're clothes are...well different than usual" She finally brought her gaze back to Y/N's
"Oh! Yeah, I thought of trying something new for once..." Y/N scratched the back of her head, trying to get rid of the awkwardness that she's been feeling.
"...They're not too shabby" She muttered under her breath before changing the topic
"So, what brings you here?" Haley spared a quick glance at the flower pot Y/N held on to.
"I managed to find a beautiful flower today and figured I might as well give it to you.." Y/N spoke as fast as she could, praying she doesnt tumble over her words
"That's...nice of you Y/N, thank you" She smiled accepting the flower pot into her hands.
"They smell really good, thank you again"
As Haley headed back inside, Y/N was overjoyed and started giggling to herself like a toddler.

She snapped her head towards the sound of a camera going off, only to see Sam standing there with his phone out and his face held a smug expression.
"You! Delete that picture right now!" Y/N chased after him, circling around the tree in front of his house.
"Catch me if you can!" Sam laughs as he loops around Y/N, who was doing all she can to get ahold of him.
From behind the windows, a figure stood watching the two run around the tree, chasing each other.
"Mom, can I go out to play?" A certain brown haired boy asked
"Finish your homework first Vincent" Jodi placed her hands on her hip, giving her son a small stern look
"Aww...alright" He retreated back to his room.
Jodi glanced outside to see Sam and Y/N having fun together.
"The farmer and Sam...? Arent they adorable" Jodi smiled to herself, thinking of how much they both compliment each other.
A few years back, Jodi had tried setting up Abigail with Sam after seeing how close they were with each other.
But it was blatantly obvious that Abigail already had her eyes for someone else.
Jodi's contant pestering on having Abigail drop by for lunch or dinner, made Sam and Abigail's friendship grow awkward as time went on.
It was only until Sam spoke out about his friend liking someone else and how much Abigail tried avoiding Jodi all together, did she realize that they werent that well of a match.
Perhaps now that Y/N's here, things could change
After the little banter with Y/N, Sam went back inside feeling proud of himself as he was able to send the pictures over to Abigail and Sebastian before Y/N could get ahold of them.
"...Lunch should be ready in about 5 minutes" Jodi spoke up, catching her son's attention
"I'll eat later mom, I need to work on something" Sam continued typing away on his phone in the groupchat.
"You and the farmer seemed quite close, you two would look quite good with each other" Jodi smiled, leaning against the doorframe.
"What?! Mom no!, Y/N is just a friend. I have to go now, I need to clock in for someone else today" Sam spoke as he grabbed his uniform from his bedroom and headed back outside.
"Hold on Sam! Let me pack some food for you" Jodi went back into the kitchen and hurriedly packed the food into a container and brought them outside.
"Be sure to eat on time" Jodi gave him the food and watched him walk towards JojaMart.

"....Ah, good morning Mrs. Jodi" Haley greeted as she came out of her house.
Jodi waved at her whilst giving her a small smile. She was wondering whether she should bring up about Y/N to Haley and maybe find out what kind of person Y/N is.
"...Haley, if its not a bother, there's something that I'd like to ask you. Its about Y/N" Jodi said, moving a little closer to where Haley was
"Y/N? What would you like to know?" Haley asked, her voice slightly wavering and she could feel her body tense a little by the sudden question.
"I dont mean to pry but, is Y/N perhaps dating or going out with someone?"
"Uhm...dating.?...well.." Haley was taken aback by what she had just heard.
"Y/N....with someone? Why is Jodi suddenly asking about her? Is she with someone...? Sam?" Haley's mind was filled with all kinds of thoughts. Thoughts she deep down hoped werent true
"Im not too sure..." Haley managed to say.
She intentionally left out the part that Y/N was not in a relationship with anyone, just because she felt that it wasn't her business to say anything, definitely.
"Is that so? Well, thank you then Haley" Jodi smiled and excused herself back to her house.
"Sam and Y/N...hmm" Haley stared off into a distance, her thoughts scrambled all over the place.
