Getting out of Leah's house, Y/N headed towards Haley's house unaware of the pair of eyes following her movements
Walking past Sam's house, Y/N saw Emily outside of her house talking to Penny who seemed to be passing by
"Hey Emily, Penny. Is Haley around?" Y/N asked as she walked up to them
Penny gave a smile and Emily looked back into the house through the window "Yes she's home!" Emily beamed
Y/N said a small thank you and entered the house. Emily and Penny watched as Y/N entered, the smile from Penny's face slowly fading away
"Are you feeling alright?" Emily had a worried expression on her face
"Yes, just thinking of something. Now about the event....."
Their comversation faded out as Y/N saw Haley in the kitchen, wearing an apron as she whisked away
Y/N contemplated on whether or not she should approach her but those thoughts went down the drain because Haley seemed to have noticed her presence
"....Y/N? What are you doing in here?" Haley placed the bowl back down on the table and brushed her stained hands on her apron.
Haley was skeptical about Y/N's sudden appearance, she thought about kicking her out for coming in unnanouced.
"Sorry....for startling you, Emily said you were inside and..." Haley raised an eyebrow at Y/N
"You're here....for me?" Haley chuckled and continued whatever she was doing before Y/N bursts in
Hearing those words confused Y/N, leaving her standing there with her mouth open before answering back "...y-yes?"
"Give me a minute" Haley continued placing a tray of cupcakes into the oven and began clearing out the table that was full of baking utensils.
Y/N got up from her chair and moved closer
"Would you like me to lend you a hand?"
Haley muttered a small sure and Y/N started washing the utensils. It was a quite moment between the two aside from the metal clinking with each other
About half an hour had passed, Haley had freshened up and the cupcakes were done.
"It smells really good" Y/N looked over Haley's shoulder as Haley opened the oven
"Would you like to try one?" Haley glances over her shoulders
"Oh! I-i would like that..." Y/N's cheeks had a slight tint of red, how embarrasing that Haley had noticed her drooling face.
The two sat down at the dining table with cupcakes in front pf them. The sun was slowly starting to set as Haley poured a cup of tea and passed it to Y/N
"So.....what brings you here" Haley questioned
Y/N who had already began eating her cupcake accidently choked on tea and drank the hot tea in a hurry which burned her tongue in return
"Huh! Slow down! Gosh.....somwtimes you act like a child you know that?" Haley frowned and grabbed a box of tissue
"Sorry..." Y/N reached her hand out to grab a tissue only for it to be pushed away by Haley
Haley instead grabbed a ply herself and brushes the crumbs from the corners of Y/N mouth.
Just as Haley moved to Y/N's bottom lip,
Emily's and Penny's voice can be heard coming closer
Haley immediately retracted her hand and crumpled the tissue in her palm
"Wow sis! That smells amazing!" Emily cooed, rushing over to the dining table
Haley gave her sister a bite and began munching on the other cupcakes. Penny who came in with Emily sat next to Y/N and was offered a cupcake by Haley
"You're a really great baker Haley, the cupcake is really moist" Penny complimented.
The four spent some time talking to each other and enjoying the desserts that were served.
"It seems like I would have to leave now, its getting late" Penny got up from her seat followed by the rest.
Haley glanced at Y/N, who was standing behind Emily waving goodbye to Penny.
"....Aren't you heading back as well?" Haley spoke, her arms crossed
Y/N tensed at the question, she hadnt really thought about going back to her place after what had happened in the morning
"Uhm...yes, I-I'll get going now...." Y/N gathered her stuff while Emily gave her sister a small glare
"Haley! That is rude to ask...she is our guest" Emily whispered to Haley who just rolled her eyes
"It's already late, she wouldn't be planning on staying here all night now would she?" Haley muttered
Y/N grabbed her bag and said her goodbyes however she seemed to have walked in another direction.
"Strange, isn't her house to the left? Is she maybe going to the saloon?....although its quite late...." Emily voiced out, seeing Y/N's figure retreating into the darkness
After some moment Emily headed back inside while Haley stood there for a moment longer...as if contemplating something
"Penny! H-hold on..." Y/N stopped a few steps behind Penny, trying to catch her breath
"...Y/N? Its dark, why haven't you gone home?" Penny asked worried, as the chillness of the night pass through them
"I...I was hoping if I could....crash at your place for the night?" Y/N looked up to see Penny's reaction who seemed shocked at her words
"I-i was only asking, you dont have to let me stay over! I-i mean its okay if you say no..."
As she rambled on, Penny couldnt help but chuckles at Y/N's flustered self and hearing her chuckle made Y/N's cheek turn a little red
"Alright, you can stay over....although I must warn you that the place...might be in a bit of a mess..." Penny gave a nervous smile
"Thats okay! Thank you so much for letting me stay over..."
The two headed back into Penny's house and saw an unconscious Pam laying on the couch with the TV still turned on.
Penny showed Y/N to her room and left to clean up the leftover mess from Pam, also feeling embarrased that Y/N had to witness such things
Y/N didnt mind the small space of her room, it felt strangely comforting to her. She remembered when she used to sleep in small rooms just to get by and now she's got a whole house to herself.
Suddenly the door clicks open and Penny enters with a cup of water, handing them over to Y/N
"Thank you....but there was really no need..." She drank the water and placed it on the table by the bed
Penny pulled out a comforter and placed it on the floor, getting ready to fall asleep when Y/N insists that she takes the comforter instead
"....you are a guest Y/N, I cant make you sleep on the floor" Penny frowned
"....I....actually love sleeping on the floor! Yeah! I love the cool feeling it gives me..." Y/N assured, stuttering with her words so badly
"Alright...if you change your mind please wake me up.." Penny lies down on the bed and the two fell asleep.
