The room flashes white for a brief second, as a loud crackle could be heard right after. Rin adverts his gaze from the T.V to his window. Rain starts to hit the glass in a rhythmic pattern as the skies turned an ashy grey.

He smiles a bit, it was a rainy day during spring. He's not complaining he usually did like chilly weather as autumn was his favourite season. But only recently he had started liking the rainy season even more... Not only did it create a great atmosphere for watching horror movies, but a certain someone will send him an alert text.

He immediately heard his phone go off as he turned and grabbed it immediately.

A small smile covered his face without him knowing, standing up and going downstairs to unlock the door for you. He got there and to his surprise already heard hard foot steps approaching the door. Knowing it was you since you luckily lived close to him.

"RINNNN!!!" You yelled which was slightly muffled out as he softly chuckled under his breath. With you then twisting the doorknob aggressively before Rin unlocked it. You opened the door and quickly ran inside, basically soaked. Using your rain jacket as an umbrella to cover your head before this.

"Did you run here?..." Rin sighed as he saw you put down the dripping wet jacket on a coat hanger and took off your shoes. Water droplets immediately falling onto the ground.

"Yes. Anyways let's just go to your room to relax-" A huge crackle of thunder was suddenly heard. You immediately tensed up and stopped talking. Rin had taken notice as he gently grabbed your hand. "Let's go then." Slowly leading you upstairs as you nodded slightly. He took you to his room as you jumped into his bed. Wrapping yourself in his blankets and burrowing yourself in them.

He sat next to you, seeing the shape of your body underneath the blankets. Rain had started pouring down harder now, drowning out Rin's horror movie which was playing in the background.

His gaze adverts back to the movie, but every once in a while he glances back at you to see if you moved out of the blankets. Not really paying attention to the movie anymore and mostly zoning out now.

He was thinking about how whenever it rains you seemed to urgently text him. Suddenly wanting to hang out together as you rushed over to his house. He found it annoying at first sure, but slowly got used to it. Looking forward to rain in the spring now as he knew that means you would be coming over. Your presence just made him happier, just little bit less lonely.

But when he saw how you flinched or any subtle hints that you were scared from the thunder, he had the sudden urge to keep you close to him. Keep you in his arms safely as an attempt to calm you down.

So when you two started dating recently he found it a great excuse to do those things.

Rin sighs, grabbing the remote and turning the horror movie off as he wasn't even paying attention to it anymore. Another loud flash of thunder was heard as he felt you flinch next to him. He stares at your figure for a bit before gently rubbing your back. "Just ignore the lukewarm thunder."

"Yeah.. I mean who would be scared of thunder?" You said, peaking your head out of the blanket as Rin gave you a slightly judgmental face. He knew and you knew that you were scared of the thunder.

"Just get in here with me." You opened the blanket for him to come in. He did as told without any hesitation. Slipping into the blanket with you, it was warm. Well it was obviously because you were inside it for so long but that wasn't it...

It felt like his face was almost warm, his chest felt fuzzy inside as you came closer to him with your head under his chin. Slowly entangling yourself with him while he pauses for a second before wrapping his wrap his arms around you.

He never felt like this before, not before he met you. Always just ignoring his feelings and focusing on soccer was all he ever knew. Just because he wanted to beat his brother. That means he hasn't felt these type of emotions before, it was all foreign to him.

But now with your comfort and presence it has him encased. His only thought was just being you in the moment. It made Rin's pupils dilate a bit. He doesn't even notice but his arms were slowly rubbing your back. Not really knowing how to hold someone but he was trying.

The rain which was now acting as white noise was oddly comforting. Without the need for any of you to speak you two just bathed in each others comfort. But every once in a while thunder will strike and make you jump a bit in his hold.

Rin just sighs, knowing your fear of thunder might never go away but it was fine. Every time you get scared he'll hold you in his arms no matter what. Since he loved you after all.

Time passes yet it feels like minutes till the rain stopped. The sun was setting making an orange glow cast in his room you had fallen asleep in Rin's hold. His eyes were now getting heavy, but he's happy that the last sight before he fell asleep was you.

He stroked your hair as your breathing was even he couldn't help but stare in awe. How lucky he was to have you and how you made his life so much more happier.

Spring might just become his favourite season.
