"Attention. All hands to the launch bay. Final loading in progress." Lyra looks up to the speakers at the sound of Mrs. Packard's voice.

Lyra then turns to Audrey and smiles. "All right, I'm going to say bye to my grandfather, and I'll see you later, okay?"

Audrey nods her head not looking away from the machine she was working on. "Yea, yea, thanks for the help." Audrey says and if anyone would hear Audrey, they would think she didn't mean what she said, which she doesn't, not really, but it's a work in progress, at least this time she said 'thanks' even if she didn't mean it.

Lyra was just about to turn around but stops when Audrey quickly turns around and throws two air punches. Audrey frowns just as quick as she turned around we she sees that Lyra didn't flinch. Audrey points her finger in Lyra's face. "One day, I will get you."

Lyra smirks and pulls Audrey's hat in front of her face. "Sure you will. Later shortie!" Lyra quickly turns and walks away before Audrey could try and get back at her.

Lyra bumps into Milo down at the loading dock, literary, they bump into each other. Lyra picks up a book that Milo dropped. "Here. Quick question, have you seen my grandfather anywhere?"

Milo shakes his head. "N-no. I haven't. Bu-but I was looking for him to if you want to look together?"

"Sure, why not." Lyra nods her head. Milo smiles and walks off. He didn't get very far when he walks into someone else.

"Hey Junior, if you're lookin' for the pony rides, they're back there." Vinny points behind him.

Milo picks something up from the ground. "Excuse me. Excuse me? You dropped your d-dy-dynamite." Milo nervously chuckles. "What else do you, uh, got in there?" Milo gesture's to the boxes that Vinny is wheeling around.

Vinny takes back the dynamite from Milo. "Oh, eh, gunpower, nitroglycerin, notepads, fuses, wicks, glue, and... paper clips." Vinny uses his hands to show the size of the paper clips. "Big ones. You know, just, uh, office supplies." Vinny walks away.

Lyra turns towards Milo. "Case you didn't know, that is Vinny, he's the bomb guy."

Milo nods his head. "Got it, Vinny the bomb guy. Vinny the bomb!" Milo looked excited for a second before it drops to a frown. "I shouldn't say that... He didn't seem like he would like that."

Lyra laughs. "No, he would not."

"Lyra! Milo! Where have you kids been? Milo, I want you to meet Commander Rourke." Whitmore gestures to the man next to him. "He led the Iceland team that brought the Journal back."

Rourke smiles. "Milo Thatch. Pleasure to meet the grandson of old Thaddeus." Rourke then turns to Lyra. "Pleasure to see you again, Ms. Lyra."

Lyra tries her best to give him a smile. "Pleasure."

Rourke smiles wider before turning back to Milo. "I see you got that journal. Nice pictures, but I prefer a good western myself."

"Pretty impressive, eh?" Whitmore asks.

Milo nods. "Boy, when you settle a bet, you... You settle a bet."

"Well, your granddad always believed you couldn't put a price on the pursuit of knowledge."

"Well, uh, believe me, this'll be small change compared to the value of what we're gonna learn on this trip."

Rourke smiles. "Yes, this should be enriching for all of us."

Rourke and Whitmore say goodbye to one another after they hear Mrs. Packard's voice over the speaker. Milo is quick to follow Rourke with a goodbye of his own.

Lyra and her grandfather turn to each other. Whitmore smiles as he puts his hands on her shoulders. "Stay safe, my dear. I love you. And don't forget my proof."

Lyra laughs as she hugs her grandfather. "I won't forget your proof don't you worry. You stay safe as well and try to not anymore bets. I'll see you when I get back." Lyra pulls back from the hug. "I love you too."  Lyra then turns and gets on the ship, with the doors shutting right behind her.
