Milo was standing right next to a huge pillar, while Lyra was standing about 20ft away where Vinny told her it was safe. "Good night! Will you look at the size of this!" Milo exclaims. "It's gotta be half a mile high, at least. It... It must have taken hundred. No, psst, thousands of years to carve this thing." Vinny pulls Milo to where Lyra was and caused a explosion that blew up the pillars bottom to make a bridge."

Vinny chuckles. "Hey, look, I made a bridge." Milo has his mouth open in horror and Lyra starts walking across the pillar not wanting to be on the pillar at the same time as the big machines. "It only took me, like, what, 10 seconds, 11, tops."

Every once and awhile when they were traveling, Lyra kept on hearing wired noises that didn't sound like it was coming from the group. But no one else noticed or said anything so Lyra didn't say anything. She didn't know that there were people watch them find the way to their home.

They come up at a stop in front of a giant wall in the pathway. "Looks like we have a little roadblock." Rourke's speaks up.

"Little?" Lyra says softly to herself.

Rourke either didn't hear here or ignored her. "Vinny, what do you think?"

Vinny looks at the wall. "I could unroad block that if I had about 200 of these." He lifts up a dynamite stick. "Problem is, I only got about 10. Plus, you know, five of my own, and a couple of cherry bombs, a road flare." Vinnys eyes lights up. "Hey, too bad we don't have some nitroglycerin, eh, Milo?"

Milo glares at him as Mole starts laughing and Lyra cracks up a smile. Rourke turns around to look at Mole who is almost falling off the vehicle by laughing too hard. "Looks like we're gonna have to dig."

Mole sits up. "It will be my pleasure." Mole quickly got the drill started and gets working.

It doesn't take long before they make a hole though the wall.

Lyra is huddle up in blankets next to the fire and is still freezing.  Lyra somehow picked up a cold between all of this traveling and she hates it.

They made camp right before the last bridge they need to cross to reach Atlantis. Lyra is sitting next to Audrey while Cookie passes around the slop. "For the appetizer, Caeser salad, escargot, and your oriental spring rolls."

Audrey almost gags at the food in front of her while Mole was drooling over it so both Lyra and Audrey gave their slop to him.

Sweet looks over and scratches his chin. "You know, we've been pretty tough on the kid. What do you say we cut him some slack."

Audrey nods her head. "Yea, your right." She turns to face Milo. "Hey, Milo! Why don't you come sit with us?"

Milo smiles. "Really? You don't mind?"

"Nah. Park it here."

Milo smiles wider as he walks over. "Gee this is great. I mean, you know, it's an honor to be included in you-"

"Just sit down, Milo." Lyra says before she turns around and sneezes. "Excuse me."

Milo quickly sits down before opening the Journal which Audery notices. "Hey, Milo, don't you ever close that book?

Sweet side-eyes the slop. "Yeah, you must've read it a dozen times by now."

"I know, but this... this doesn't make any sense. See, in this passage here, the Sheperd seems to be leading up to something. He calls it the heart of Atlantis. It could be the power source the legends refer to. But then, it just... It cuts off. it's almost like there's a missing page."

Lyra rolls her eyes, he's so smart and dumb at the same time, but she starts coughing before she can say something.

"Kid, relax. We don't get paid overtime." Vinny states.

"I know, I know. Sometimes I get a little carried away. But hey, you know, that's what this is all about, right? I mean, discovery, teamwork, adventure." Milo stops smiling. "Unless maybe... Your just in it for the money."

"Money."

"Money."

"Money."

"Money."

"I'm going to say... Money."

Milo then turns to Lyra notices that she didn't answer. "Well, you here for the adventure. I mean, your grandfather is Mr. Whitmore, what more money do you need?"

Lyra sits straight and glares at Milo. "Don't talk like you know me and don't make assumptions of me that you have no real proof of." Lyra stands up. "I think I should go to bed, so goodnight, and don't talk to me."

Milo frowns when Lyra walks off and gets into her tent. He looks around at the others who are also watching the girl. "I... I didn't mean to make her upest. I didn't think what I said was that bad."

Vinny slowly nods while playing around with the slop. "We don't know much of her past, doesn't like talking about it."

Sweet clears his throat. "What we do know isn't all sunshine and rainbows like we first thought. Mr. Whitmore isn't really her grandfather, she doesn't talk to her parents, their were either bad people or dead, we don't know. And she used to live on the streets... She hates spending Mr. Whitmore's money, she only uses what she has earned. Thats all we know."

Audrey glares at Milo and then Sweet. "Well, it isn't our place to talk about it."

Milo nods his head. "Right." Milo tries to fix a small pain in his neck.

Sweet looks at him. "Something wrong with your neck?"
