Chapter 19

Abhi slightly turned his neck aside and saw Vaishu and Avi coming near him. He turned his gaze towards his front and was shocked by what he saw. He rooted on his place, unable to move in shock. Abhishek was not there. Abhi blinked his eyes multiple times but was not able to see Abhishek. Till then Vaishu and Avi came near him. Vaishu kept her hand on Abhi's shoulder literally scaring him. 

Vaishu: Shant shant Abhi! Mai hu. Vaishu. Abhi, yaha dekho.

She made Abhi look at her, who looked at her in pure fear. Vaishneet's heart wrenched seeing him so scared.

Avi: Kya hua hai, Abhi? Why are you so scared?

Abhi tried speaking but no words came out of his mouth. He tried pointing towards front, atleast making Vaishneet understand from his actions but all in vain! Vaishneet were hell confused.

Avi: Abhi, saaf saaf batao kya hua hai.

Abhi took a breathe and tried but couldn't. He was not able to speak in fear. He sighed helplessly. Vaishneet too sighed and took him in the room. They made him drink water which made him calm somewhat. He started taking deep brethes to calm his racing mind which was messed with full of fear.

Sid was done with his packing when Vaishneet came back with Abhi. He saw Abhi was fully silent and was looking frightened. Though he hated Abhi, but no one in the group understood Abhi more than Sid. Sid knew Abhi in and out. He could tell what had happened just with the slightest change in Abhi's behaviour. He right now wanted to confront Abhi but his ego came in between. His 'Ahamkaar' was not letting him to go to Abhi even after knowing he needed him. To distract himself, he started pretending to be on phone. 

Vaish (concerned): Kya hua hai Abhi? Why are you so frightened?

Abhi finally gathered all his courage and spoke.

Abhi: Kuch nahi. Bas Mumma Papa aur Ashu ki yaad aayi.

Abhi tried his best in conviencing them that nothing happened. Even Vaishneet got convienced but Sid understood that Abhi was lieing. He wanted to bash his best friend's head somewhere. Wait! Best friend's? No! He is no one to me!

Abhi (changing the topic): Vaishu, vaise kya tum mujhe doodling sikhaogi?

Vaish (confused): Why not? Par aise achanakse kya hua?

Abhi (sighed): Kuch nahi hua. I wanted to brush off those thoughts. Thoda mind change hoga isliye. But if you don't want, then it's ok.

Vaish: No no. I didn't meant that way. Chalo phir doodling karte hai.

Abhineet nodded. Sid too nodded thinking that they will involve him too but his hopes shattered when Vaish told Avu to bring 3 drawing papers and doodling stuff from their friend Riya. The thing was as Vaishneet didn't lived in hostel, Vaishu had doodling stuff but at home. So she told Avu to borrow it from Vaishu's friend, Riya. Riya and Vaish used to go to same drawing class and as Riya lived in hostel so instead of going home, Vaish thought better. Avi went to bring it. Sid felt left out and sad. But more than that he felt angry as he thought Abhi was seeking attention and doing this deliberately. He texted his father that he is reaching home in 15 mins.

Sid: Mai chalta hu. Mere Papa ka message aaya hai. They have reached. Bye Vaishu. Meet you after 1 week. Aur ha, kisiko kehna ki akele rehne wale ho to medicines time pe lena. Chalta hu.

Sid left before anyone could say anything. Both Abhi and Vaish understood whom Sid had addressed as someone. Abhi's hopes rised but Abhishek was there to shatter them.
