Dust POV

~~~~~~~~
Killer screeches and Y/N stumbles as he shoves her out of the way. Her head hits the corner of the dresser, and she yelps. Slash runs to help her as Cross grabs Killer, but the blaster's already firing. There's a funny ringing noise in my ears, and over the firing of the blaster, I can't hear the others' voices at all.
"Enough." Nightmare's snarl is like a gun going off. It breaks through the ringing noise in my ears, and I stiffen. One tendril wraps around my neck while the other three wrap around the blaster, snapping it in half before it can actually fire anything. Once the blaster is just dust on the ground, the tendrils wrap around me. Cross drags Killer into the corner and eyes me warily as Nightmare walks up to me, gazing down at me coldly.
My gaze drops to the ground, all of my anger turning to shame. I don't usually disobey Boss or act out since I'm obedient and usually too drunk to care, unlike Killer, who disobeys him all the time and doesn't give a shit about the consequences. There have been a few times when I acted out and hurt someone, and Nightmare got angry at me, but it doesn't happen often. I keep my anger contained until I'm alone and take it out on myself so I don't hurt the other members of the team.
Nightmare pulls me out of the room and out of the house, and I just follow along, dragging my feet in the snow as we head somewhere private. If we had been in his castle, it would've been my room, or maybe the dungeon if there were no prisoners.
We find a quiet spot somewhere close to Waterfall but still in Snowdin where there's a lot of trees and no houses in sight. Nightmare sits down on a fallen tree and buries his head in the palms of his hands, his tendrils still around me so I can't run. I stand there, my gaze still on the ground as he sighs.
I can't imagine what he's going to do to me this time. I've had some bad punishments in the past when I've accidentally taken a limb from Killer or stabbed Horror in the foot, but I've never tried to actually kill them until now. I remember one time, a few months before we met Y/N, long before everything happened with Shattered, I had snapped at Horror after having a bit too much whiskey, and I ended up hurting him pretty badly by snapping his femur by accident. He was stuck in bed for two and a half weeks while he healed, and even when he was able to walk again, he couldn't leave the castle for another three weeks, and then he had to have someone with him. As punishment for that, Nightmare banned any form of alcohol or smoking in the castle for three months, and I suffered from a huge withdrawal. Nightmare had to lock me in the dungeon for about two weeks, and he was the only one who would come see me because I couldn't hurt him. I don't even want to know what he's going to do to me now.
"...Dust." Nightmare says after a while of just sighing and rubbing his face and not talking, which has led to my brain coming up with all of these different possibilities as to what he might do to me. "What the hell were you thinking?"
I shuffle my feet awkwardly, not sure what to say. I can't just apologize. I can't get on my knees and beg for forgiveness. That's not how he works. I've seen it time and time again. He's like a dad. He wants you to admit you did wrong, recognize what you did wrong, apologize to both him and whoever you hurt, and then he punishes you.
"I... Don't know, sir." My voice is so quiet, if there had been even a slight breeze, neither of us would've been able to hear it.
He sighs once again. "You need to get your anger under control, Dust. I don't care if you and Killer argue. I'm not going to complain, since it strengthens me and sometimes arguing can be a good thing. But when you purposefully attack him..." He pinches the bridge of his nose. "You can't be fighting like that. Swear at each other all you want, slap each other even, if it helps, but do not, under any circumstances, attack him. I know he pissed you off, and I'm going to talk to him next, but you cannot do that."
