"Awakening in my room to the sound of chirping birds in the morning, I reflected on the recent events from the time in the forest up to being transported instantly back into the manor by Lieutenant Valkyrie. It was such an insane experience for me, but more so with Karabelle who was dragged along into my problems. Still to see other beings of legend and myth. Such as encountering  an actual werewolf in the flesh, who is also a druid and part Fae. Then there is Lieutenant Valkyrie and Neit. All of these are truly extraordinary for anyone to encounter in a lifetime already. But something is telling me in my gut that there is still more to come which makes me more excited about it!"

"The return trip really saved us some hours to rest and think about the next steps. I wonder if Lieutenant Valkyrie would be willing to explain the mechanics of this remarkable mode of transportation? As I thought out of the endless applications to such an ability if it were to become accessible for everyone. I will probably have a lot of time to ask her about this later on.  Lieutenant Valkyrie did mentioned that she will be nearby if needed before disappearing into a white mist, but she will be sure to fetch me once it is time for us to meet up with Bonnie in two days time."

"Still the heroic quest completions are still on the top of my mind on how to do them or on what they are exactly? As I'm pretty sure to be a very devout follower of Cathartisism right now then that's one part down from my to-do list. It is so like being at the point in middle-school or high school, where you need to plan out your life. Or else you might get stuck somewhere you'll live to regret. Also part of all this is that I need to do these heroic stuff but not be the hero. Then who is the hero?..."

There was a knock at the door and it opened to reveal my mother with a worried look as she spoke; "Liam, are you awake? The Lady Karabelle is missing!"

Flustered from my thoughts, I sat up straight from my bed on hearing the news from my mother and thought about Lieutenant Valkyrie who might have done something nefarious to our guest. Or worst Karabelle, might have left the manor again to parts unknown. Given our security is so lax based on my experience from last night. But after a second or two, I managed to blurt out the words. "How is that possible? she was just... What is this!"

The bed sheets stirred and to my shock as I feel out of bed, while my mother's face turned from horror to mirth.  There arouse the Lady Karabelle's form from my bed sheets with a sleepy-eyed look as she spoke, "Yawn!...Is breakfast ready?" I stood up to give her a piece of my mind for the intrusion she caused, but stopped as she just went back to sleep immediately.

Breakfast time, we got news from our messenger that the Vellico's have offered their thanks with the extended hospitality and safety of their daughter. They also extended their apologies as they will arrive in a few days time after cleaning up a few loose ends from Karabelle's kidnapping incident. For now they leave their precious daughter to the care of House Speir for the time being, as it is the most secure place that they can think of at this time for her. The news brought further dread to me as it means Karabelle will be staying longer with us, while mother was ecstatic about the news and offered to go to town so they can buy better clothes for their guest.
