Niji groaned as she felt something wet on her cheek.

She opened her eyes and looked over to see a dog. She smiled gently and started to pet him. "I'm dead I guess." She stood up and looked around. She bent over to the dog. "Thanks for waking me up to enjoy... sadness."

The dog ran off.

Niji ran after, but soon stopped. She took in the town. "Wait... I'm in another world..." She smiled and went to the sign. "Traverse Town... different from islands." She turned and looked at the shop she was near. "Accessory Shop. Huh. Wonder what they got." She entered the shop and looked around. "How can I-- oh it's just a kid." She looked at him and shook her head. "I'm a teen, not a kid. Get it right." "Ok. Jeez. Calm down." "I'm Niji and I um... thought I died." She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "You're not dead. This here is Traverse Town, a world for homeless people." "I see... my home is gone then..." "Are you alone?" "For now. My friends and brother could be here somewhere. I should go look for them." She turned and left in a hurry.

Niji entered the Second District only to see a man fall and his heart float out. His body vanished and a Soldier was now there. It vanished.

Niji backed up a bit and Shadows appeared. "Them again!" She summoned the Keyblade and took them out. She went back to the First District and more appeared. She took them out and entered the Accessory Shop. She leaned against the doors and sighed. "So many things..." "I see you've encountered the Heartless." "Heartless?" She looked at him and walked over. "Yeah. Darkness in people's hearts brings them near." "Darkness? I'm noticing like that though." "Or it's your Keyblade that draws them in." She looked at her Keyblade. "I see... I should leave to protect everyone here." "Good luck." She nodded and left.

"They'll keep coming at you out of nowhere as long as you continue to wield the Keyblade."

Niji turned to her left to see a man. "But why? Why would it choose a kid like you?" She made a face. "I'm not a kid! I'm a teenager! A big difference, sir." He stared at her. "Who are you and what do you want?" "It's Leon." "Leon. Ok. Now the second part?" "I came to see who the Keyblade chose. You got a lot on your plate..." "Niji. I'm Niji." "Niji, follow me to the Second District. We have to talk." "I guess."
The duo went off to the Second District and the Motel. They entered the Green Room.

"Nice going, Leon." Leon and Niji looked over to a girl sitting on the bed. "I'm the Great Ninja Yuffie." "Niji." She looked to the person laying unconscious in bed. "Sora." She walked over quickly. "You know this boy?" "Yeah. He's my brother." "I found him in the Second District. He is perfectly fine. We just gotta wait for him to wake." She nodded, "ok. Now I need answers, Leon." She turned to the male.

"Alright. What would you like first?" Niji summoned the Keyblade. "This for starters." "The Keyblade. Still hard to believe that you of all people are the chosen one. Well, I suppose beggers can't be choosers." "Alright, so I was chosen to wield this weapon. What of the Heartless?" "Those without hearts." "The darkness in people's hearts-- that's what attracts them." "And there is darkness... within every heart." "Ok." "Hey, have you heard of someone named Ansem?" She looked at Yuffie and shook her head. "No. I rather not know." "It's important though." "If he's responsible, then I don't think I need the knowledge." "Suit yourself." "The Heartless have great fear of the Keyblade. That's why they'll keep coming after you, no matter what."

"I can't do anything about it. It chose me after all. I just gotta see it through. Darkness... it took away my home and friends. Sora is the only one who seems to have made it here with me. I gotta find Riku and Kairi." Niji stood up and stretched a bit. Leon leaned against the door leading to the Red Room. "Sooner or later, the Heartless will find you. You'd best prepare yourself." "Got it. I'm ready to go." He got off the door. "Yuffie, let's go join Aerith. She should be there by now with the other visitors." "Leon!" Yuffie pointed at a Soldier who appeared in the room. "Yuffie, go!" Yuffie ran out of there quickly. He summoned his gunblade. "Niji, let's go!" He swung the Soldier out the window then went after it. She looked over at Sora then ran after Leon.

"Don't bother with the small fry. Find the leader. Let's go!" Leon rushed off. Niji ran off herself, getting out of the Alleyway. She ran through the Second District, going to the Third District.
Niji entered the Third District and made her way down the ramp. She got into the middle of the area. She looked around, seeing nothing. She looked up as she heard screaming. She gasped and tried to run away, but the two who fell were now on top of her back. ""The Key!"" Everything started to shake, making them look around. The area got blocked off and Soldiers appeared around them.

The trio fought them all, but it wasn't over yet. Guard Armor fell from the sky and reformed. They worked together to take it down. It fell apart and a heart flew out of the chest. The heart vanished into the sky and the armor vanished.

Niji looked over at the duo who fell on her. "So you know about the Keyblade?" The duo nodded. "They, too, have been seeking the wielder of the Keyblade." She looked behind her at Leon. "Hey, why don't you come with us? We can go to other worlds on our vessel." She smiled then frowned. "My brother though." "Don't worry, Niji. I'll look after him." She looked at Yuffie and smiled. "Thanks." She turned back to the duo. "Alright. I'll go with you guys." "Donald Duck." Donald put his hand in the middle. "Name's Goofy." Goofy put his hand on Donald's. "I'm Niji." She followed suit. "All for one, one for all."

The group got to the First District. The trio went to the doors leading out of town.

"Sora will be safe here, so I can find our friends. We made a good team back there as well." Niji smiled at the duo. Donald and Goofy smiled back at her. "We sure did!" "I'll teach you some magic once we get to the next world." She looked at Donald excited. "Really?!" "Of course!" "Sweet!" The trio walked out of the doors.

Niji got out Ventus' Wayfinder and stared at it. "I'll find you Ven... you need this back."
