november seventeenth, 1962.

y/n was in her hospital bed after giving birth, peter was standing next to her, holding her hand.

a baby's wails could be heard as a nurse rinsed him off and bundled him up, handing him to his mother.

"oh my god. hi, baby." y/n said through tears.

"hey, son." peter sobbed out.

"he has your nose." the girl laughed.

peter laughed too, "looks like he got your hair. look at how much he has already!"

"so, what'll his name be?" a nurse asked.

y/n looked at peter so he could say the first name he wanted, "wesley."

the nurse wrote it down, "okay. any middle name?"

peter now looked at y/n who sniffled as she looked down at her son with a smile, "benjamin." she looked up at the nurse, "wesley benjamin hudson."

april 1963.

y/n was holding her son, telling him about her and her siblings' missions.

"and then uncle klaus yelled, "we got a runner!", and uncle luther looked at me and told me to paralyze the man, so i did. then uncle five grabbed my hand and pulled me close, whispering in my ear, "hold on tight." and i listened. i knew he was going to teleport us to the man since he would always warn me to hold onto him, that's a fun fact for you, wes."

the baby cooed as she continued on.

"he blinked us to the man and we let go as i smashed a ball of electricity onto him. when our mission was done, five held my hand and rubbed my knuckles to calm me down, he always did that because i'd get nervous a lot and killing that dude was rough on me, though he deserved it." she laughed a bit.

"the umbrella academy had saved the day. and later that night, back at home, we all snuck out to griddy's donuts, our favorite donut place. we'd do it a lot. then when we got back home, five and i had a sleepover in my room, he always said my bed was comfier than his." she sighed at the memories she had shared with the boy.

"well, that's all i got for today. did you like those stories, wessy?" she smiled down at her giggling baby.

"why are you laughing so much, you little cutie?" she squished his cheek as he continued to laugh.

"fibe!" the baby cooed out before laughing again.

y/n's heart stopped for a second, "w-what?" she stared at him with wide eyes, "did you just say five? or try to? was that really your first word? oh my god. PETER!" she called out for her husband as her baby continued to giggle.

july 1963.

"stoby!" wesley said as y/n was tucking him into bed.

"no, sweetie, no story tonight, mommy's tired." she responded, earning a pout and whine from her son.

"stoby." he huffed.

"no, baby." she said, her son began to cry out of frustration.

"hey, hey, hey, no, no, no." she picked him up and held him as he continued to cry.
