lila kicked the door open, allowing everyone to pile out of the tunnel.

"let's never do that again." viktor panted.

"what, narrowly escape the apocalypse?" five asked as he set y/n down but held her as she almost fell, "woah, are you okay, honey?"

y/n's body trembled, tears running down her face as she looked at her bloodied hands again, her shock over everything and what she just witnessed made her almost unable to speak.

"yeah, well, its kind of our thing, isn't it?" diego said as he walked around with his weapon, ready to shoot.

"there's something very wrong about that." allison commented as she stared at the butt-end of the white buffalo, opposite of the head that hung in the suite on the other side they just came from.

"same suite, just ass-backward." lila said while ben played with the tail.

"no hyperbole there." five replied as he kissed y/n's head before letting her go, walking up to stare at the buffalo's end with everyone else.

"this is some hardcore alice in wonderland shit." ben turned to face everyone else.

"yeah, well it only gets weirder." diego responded.

reginald ran in from the tunnel, slamming the door, "at last, the other side." he said out of breath.

"w-wait, where's klaus?" viktor asked.

"children, i'm sorry, but your brother..." reginald panted, "i did all i could, but he didn't make it through in time. the kugelblitz has claimed its last victim." his words made y/n sob, shaking her head while repeating multiple whispered 'no's'.

"no, he was right behind me when y/n and i entered the tunnel." five clarified.

"we need to go back." sloane spoke softly and sadly.

"there's nothing to go back to. children, there will be time for tears later. right now, we have to keep moving." reginald said before walking out.

"wait. luther and klaus?" viktor said, everyone looking away sadly in remembrance of their brothers.

y/n shakily but angrily walked out of the room first, practically chasing after reginald.

"what the hell did you do to klaus?" she seethed through a whisper.

reginald turned his head to her as they stopped at the elevator, pushing the down button as he began to speak, "i don't know what you're questioning me about, number eight. seems as if your emotions are making you lose what's left in your head."

y/n scoffed, "what? are you-" she grumbled and sighed, "listen, reggie, i saw you push him out. you killed him!" she whisper-yelled, "i watched it happen!" she glared up at him.

reginald gave no response as he stared at the elevator doors, waiting for them to open.

y/n huffed as she looked at the ground, slowly looking back up at the old man as she realized something, "did you kill luther too?" she asked quietly, her voice breaking a bit.

reginald looked down to her but everyone else filed out of the suite before he could answer. as the group walked up to the waiting duo, the elevator doors opened, allowing them to pile in.

reginald and y/n made eye contact as they stepped in, giving the girl the answer she knew was true, but she didn't want.
