five was looking over the balcony while y/n hugged him from behind, her head resting against his back.

"so, how is it that we're still here, but the whole of the universe is going down the cosmic shitter?" allison asked out loud.

"maybe we're just the last to get flushed." viktor shrugged.

"wasn't talking to you." allison replied, earning an eye roll from viktor.

"i can't stand her." y/n whispered quietly to five.

five turned around and cupped her face with one hand, caressing her cheek with his thumb, "i know, honey, i know." he kissed her forehead, giving her a small smile before turning back to the balcony.

"hey, has anyone seen klaus?" luther asked.

sloane lifted her head from luther's shoulder, "or dad?"

"they'll be here." diego said.

"really? did they...hit traffic?" ben teased before he started walking a bit towards the sprawled-out group, "look, people, we're alive because we're special, right? we're the only ones who can save the universe."

"uh, question?" y/n walked up and raised her hand.

"yes." ben pointed to her.

y/n pointed back at him, "didn't we just try that and fail miserably?" she put her hand down and crossed her arms.

"yeah, well, its because his plan was stupid." diego spoke up.

"mmm." y/n hummed and nodded.

diego walked up, "i got a better one."

"'course you do." ben looked away.

"we go with the large hard-on particle accelerator." diego started as everyone already looked confused, "you guys do some science, and..." he clicked his tongue as he pretended to hit something, "we launch the kugelblitz into outer space." he turned to everyone, "didn't think i knew that, did ya?" he looked at ben, "its in switzerland."

"its hadron, not hard-on, ya moron!" ben corrected as y/n snickered.

"oi! at least he's trying, you shitty little squid. what have you contributed?" lila said as she sat up in her chair.

"actually, he did blow up half his family." diego pointed at ben.

"oh, you wanna talk about family problems?" ben mocked as he walked up to diego, "you know what should have blown up is you face on that neck!"

"i wish i had a cake to hit you with it in your face!" diego retaliated, motioning his hand in front of ben's face.

the two men began to argue, with ben shouting in korean and diego in spanish. y/n rubbed her temples, the reliving of childhood arguments bringing on a massive headache.

"hey!" five turned around as he gained everyone's attention, the two men ceased their shouting, "you guys done?" he asked as he walked up, "the universe is disappearing outside. so you can keep rearranging the deck chairs of the titanic if it makes you feel better." he stopped walking as he wrapped an arm around y/n's waist, "but the fact remains that we are too late."

diego and ben scoffed as they walked away. y/n sighed and leaned her head against five's shoulder.

"five, come on." luther said.

"its over, luther. we failed." five replied as he pulled y/n closer, his grip on her waist tightening a bit.

viktor sat up, "come on, it can't be over over."
