Chapter 2.

Room

Today is the day I will be staying at the Clark's house. I'm dressed in sweatpants, a tank top, and an oversized white polo. I'm not sure if this outfit is alright. But, I don't know what to wear because most of my clothes are similar in style. I can't also ask for Tia's help because she and my cousins are still asleep. They threw a farewell party for me last night.

Pinasadahan ko muli ang sarili. I shrugged. Whatever. I think this is okay.

Most of them are books.

My Mom won't be able to see me off today since she's currently overseas for work, along with my Dad and Grandparents. It's alright because I already bid a goodbye to them yesterday.

Nasa labas na ako at nagaabang. Thank God, I wore shades.

He probably looks around my age.

I nodded slowly as I grasped the situation.

"You're his driver?" I asked.

I was taken aback when he suddenly stood up straight and saluted. "Yes, Ma'am! Ugo at your service!"

I chuckled awkwardly. "Okay."

He's so loud.

"Tara na po ba, Ma'am?" he wore his seatbelt. "Baka po may nakalimutan kayo?"

I simply shook my head and opened my book. "Let's just go."

"Sure po? Legit?"

Napaangat ako ng tingin sa kaniya. He has this playful look on his face. He reminds me of Storm, but I think this guy is worse.

"Yeah," sagot ko.

"Weh?" tanong niya pa.

My brows were creased as I looked at him again.

I began reading my book. Hindi naman na siya nagsalita ulit. Mukhang natakot ata sa akin. It's good because I don't like noise when I'm reading. But Tia's and Storm's voices might be exceptions. I'm so used to their loud voices that I'm even surprised myself that I can still focus on my book even when they're shouting at each other near my ears.

We're probably here.

I closed my book and glanced at him. He was already unbuckling his seatbelt, so I did the same.

"Are we here?"

Madrama siyang umiling. "No, Ma'am."

My lips parted. "Huh?"

I thought we're already here? Why did he take off his seatbelts if we're not?

"Joke po. Nandito na tayo."

My mouth hangs open in disbelief as I run my fingers through my hair. God, this guy. I'm definitely right, he's even worse than Storm.
