"Mom... Dad... What did I ever do to you guys..."

A young Sumire sits on a bed of flowers thinking to herself.

"Why don't you guys use the town doctor..."

She picks a flower and holds it up.

"That doctor with the blue hair is creepy. I don't like him."

Sumire is back inside her house. Her parents look at her with disgust.

"Why do you hate me..."

February 25th

"Haruto Nakamura! You pass!" Rengoku shouts as Haruto collapses on the ground. "Tsk." Token lets out before walking back inside. Later that evening Rengoku prepares a meal for his students. He stirs soup in a pot while the boys are sitting on opposite sides of the room.

The boys act like the other doesn't exist. Haruto sits on a sheet trimming his hair a little bit, he then slicks his hair back into a crazy ponytail. Token sits painting a mask he carved the other day. "Alright this will be delicious!" Rengoku shouts.

Rengoku hands the boys a bowl of soup along with a plate of rice and meat. Rengoku starts devouring his meal while shouting "DELICIOUS!" Once the boys finish eating Rengoku hands the boys swords and uniforms.

"I had these uniforms made for you boys! And the swords are mine so they already shine the flame breathing color! The boys unsheathe the sword and stare at the blade's reddish orange color. The boys go to sleep for the night.

February 26th

The next morning, Token puts his uniform on. It's a red yukata that fades into orange at the top. He then puts a Haori on which has orange flames at the bottom with "燄" on the back (flame kanji). The ends of the sleeves are quite large. He then puts his fox mask on and leaves early in the morning without saying goodbye.

Later in the morning Haruto wakes up and puts his uniform on. His uniform is a pure crimson red uniform with an orange flame on the back of it. Haruto cleans his earrings and puts them on. His earrings are in the shape of a crescent moon.

"Alright Haruto! Make it back in one piece!" Rengoku demands. "Of course I will!" Haruto steps into Sumire's room where she sleeps. He pets her on the head and walks out of the house. "I'm off! Rengoku!" Haruto says as he leaves. "GOOD LUCK HARUTO!" Rengoku shouts.

Haruto walks down the road on the mountain of Rengoku's house. A calm breeze blows in the air, swaying the leaf filled tree branches.

Haruto makes it to the final selection area. There's these beautiful purple trees and tons of people there. Haruto walks along a stone walkway as he notices how many slayers surround him. For some reason Haruto feels so much pressure that he doesn't even bother looking for Yui, Tatara, or Token. 'Sumire...I'll make it out here alive so I can protect you once you wake up. Me, Tatara, Token. We'll all make it out for you.'

They're let into the mountain where they have to survive for seven days. Haruto plans to sleep during the day, and move during the night time, so he can sleep without worrying about death.
