SONNET 133
Epiphany of the Saints bear Christ's overview
Trembled edges broke the high hall, the gates besieged,
A sedan rained and Plaza Miranda bombed. Yew
Beads stolen and stole-wearers eaten; vagaries
Charred the telex moon from Prometheus unsound
Beneath its armed sacred abides, the disappeared
Half a rainbow fame and made what fixations found
To be regretful while our mind-forged bonds sear.
But, then, once-thought deserted byways survive cruel
Creativities and found melanomas reared,
And optic relativity -- cruel'st of all -- pool
The gods f' our blood; soonest born; Hoshea endeared
Heretofore when the elders come to pass their reign,
A promised generation was cheated and slain.
