Loki's eyes were wide as the dagger tore through his flesh, hitting a bone or two as it passed through. The blood seeped into his green tunic and the palm that he pressed against the wound. Natasha's eyes were laser focused on Loki's expressions as she plunged it deeper into his side, not looking away once.

He took in a ragged breath before he said, "Natahsa! It is quite a relief to see you well." His voice was strained as he wrapped his fingers around the hilt of the dagger, "But I am troubled. You see, there seems to be a dagger you implanted in my abdomen-"

"Natasha! Loki! What the hell?" Nova propped herself up on her elbows as she stared at her two friends.

Natasha's grip on the dagger grew tighter, her knuckles turning white.

"You got me killed."

He conjured a dagger of his own in his free hand and swiftly brought it to her jugular, before she swiped his hand away and nearly succeeding in taking the dagger from him. What she forgot, though, was that while she was nearly unbeatable in martial arts, Loki had centuries to play with knives. With a quick maneuver the dagger now headed toward the arm that held the knife in his abdomen in place.

The knife stopped barely an inch from her arm as a hand wrapped around it and pulled it away from Natasha. He looked to the right to see Nova's pale figure holding onto his arm and pulling it away from her friend. "Nat, I know you're angry and you're right for it, I mean, this idiot got you killed." She looked at Loki. She was dead serious. "But save the stabbing for another day." Nat scoffed and shook her head, taking Loki by the shoulders and rolling him off the bed as they both crashed onto the floor, Loki on top.

To stay on top meant to have control of the fight, right?

Or it meant Nat had led him into her trap.

She wrapped her legs around his waist and wrung an arm around his neck and tightened. His face turned slightly blue as he tried to get out of the chokehold, she had him in, to no avail.

Her head tilted slightly as she watched Loki writhe under her tight grasp. She thought of all the bruises she could leave on his skin, cuts in his flesh, and breaks in his bones. She could make him feel everything she felt as that ancient monster tore into layers of skin and muscle, how the bones in her leg had near shattered. There were so many things, so many possibilities.

She drew the scalpel to his neck and dragged the metal across his neck, not a threat, but to mock him. He could not do anything but gasp for air and try to thrash out of her grasp. "I could torture you to death as you did to me," she sighed, twisting his arm behind his back painfully while the other remained around his throat. "I could get my perfect revenge on you right now." The scalpel was in her mouth as she wiped the blood at the far end on Loki's leathers. "I consider myself a better person then that, though, so this'll be better than what you deserve."

He suddenly morphed himself into a large snake- emerald, green with golden swirls and pitch-black eyes- and slithered his way up Natasha and wrapped himself around her chest and throat, constricting her airway and lungs.

Once again, Nova's hands were around Loki, trying to pry him away as she yelled at the both of them. "Loki, release her!" Snake-Loki did not budge, as if he didn't hear her. Perhaps it was different in his snake form. Which meant she couldn't just talk him out of it.
