Esula POV-----
"Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!"
"We wouldn't be alive if it hadn't been for you!"
Celest and I were bidding out last farewells to Ichal. We were at the train station and we were heading to some town called Genbi because there were plenty of jobs for us there.
"No problem! You girls are so sweet and I am so sad to see you leave, but as I told you, I'm going searching for my missing brother," Ichal smiled and gave us each one last hug. That's right! Ichal told us about why he needed us to leave.
"Alright! Well, I wish you the best of luck finding jobs, you two!"
"Thank you so much, again! Words cannot express my gratitude!" Celest took over. I smiled. Celest had matured so much since Ichal found us by that stream. I sighed. I really wish I knew what happened.
Ding Ding Ding! The train to Genbi is departing soon. Ding Ding Ding! The train-
"Well, I guess this is goodbye, Ichal!" I said sadly.
Celest cut in, "I hope we run into you sometime!" Celest is always so positive, I always have constant worries over things I shouldn't worry about.
"Hai. See you next time!" Celest and I rushed onto the train just in time. We hurriedly found our area and rushed to the window to see Ichal waving. Celest and I waved back. When Ichal was finally out of sight, we observed our room. Since the ride to Genbi is about fourteen hours, this train has rooms for us to sleep in. The only downside is that we have to share a room with two other people.
The room was small, but I was fine with it. I just realized that we had company. Our roomate looked a little older than Celest. She had pitch black hair up in a spiral braided bun. She had headphones in and her chocolate brown eyes were glued to a computer screen.
"May I help you with anything?" she said in an expressionless voice.
I just realized that I've been staring at her for quite a while now. Ah! How embarrassing! "A-ah ano, no," I stuttered, "S-sorry!"
"I don't mind much. You're our new roommates for the next fourteen hours."
"H-hai. Pleased to meet you. I am Esula Kumo and this is my little sister, Celest Kumo."
Celest, who had been settling in her top bunk, came over to us, "Hello! I'm Celest. Pardon me, but what do you mean by 'our'?"
"Here she comes," the girl said in that same voice.
"Stea-chan! I'm back!" A pretty girl with long auburn hair walked in with cans of noodles and... tripped.
On instinct, I rushed to catch her, but when I was a couple of meters away, she was already less than a foot away from the ground.
No. No! I can't let her fall! Suddenly, my hands her underneath her and caught her just in time. The cans are falling. Half a second later, the six cans were all balanced on my feet. I slowly got up and helped the girl up. I handed her the cans and whispered, "Be careful. Excuse me."
I walked quickly to the dining area and sat down at a back table. I ran my fingers through my wavy hair. My eyes were shadowed. What just happened? I can swear no normal person can do that. What am I?
