Y/N's POV:

Over the next few weeks, me and Lucifer grew extremely close. I saw him as.. a kind of father, because he reminded me of my birth father.. before the last extermination happened.

He came to the hotel at least once a week, which both me and Charlie were very happy about.

Speaking of Charlie, she continued to be the kindest to me, and funny enough, I also see her as a sister figure more now.

Me and Husk were best friends and always had each other's back.

I had found a new life... And I was enjoying it.

Of course, I still missed my family, I was still grieving, but I was dealing with it a lot better.

I just hoped that they weren't suffering anymore.

I had just woken up and was looking into my bathroom mirror as I fixed up my hair slightly, straightening out my shirt to at least look decent before going downstairs to get breakfast.

I walked out of my room and headed downstairs.

As soon as I made it down there, I slipped my phone back into my pocket and sat down at the bar, Husk was standing there, looking grumpy and tired as usual.

I waved to him and he waved back, cracking a small smile.

"Mornin, kid" He said, walking a short distance so he was standing across from the barstool I was sitting on.

"Morning, Husk" I said, yawning

"You want your morning usual?" He said, putting the glass he was cleaning back where it was supposed to go.

I smiled and playfully rolled my eyes "Duh"

Husk always knows my go-to drinks for every time of day, I know his too. Did I have any idea how to make them? No, but I know what they are.

As soon as he set the drink down on the counter, I grabbed it and took a big sip.

"Thanks, Husk" I said, putting the cup down and stretching.

"No problem, kid"

"Good morninggg" A familiar voice said as they walked down the last few stairs.

Angel, forgot to mention, I'm pretty close with him too.

"Angell, good morning" I said before taking another sip of my drink.

"Mornin' toots" He said, walking up to the bar, I assumed to flirt with Husk, so I left, taking the last sip of my drink, setting it down on the bar and winking at Angel before walking away.

I walked into the parlor, only to be greeted by Charlie, Vaggie, and none other than..

"Luci!" I said, quickly walking up to him, giving him a fistbump (Or whatever else you want:])

"Ah! Y/N! Hello!" He said, returning the gesture.

"How are you?" I said, sitting down on a couch, Lucifer sitting beside me

Lucifer's POV:

"I've been doing well lately" I said, breathing a peaceful sigh.

"Nice, nice" Y/N said.

I saw Y/N as a son now, honestly, even though I hadn't known him for a long time, I just have this feeling in my heart that I need to care for him.

That feeling kept strong as the day went on, he felt like my child, and him and Charlie got along great, they even acted like siblings towards each other.

I decided that, if he was willing to let me, I'd take him in as my own.

So I pulled him away from the rest, to talk to him about just that.

"Soo.. Whaddaya need?" Y/N questioned

"Well, I've been thinking lately, that I really see you as a son, I mean you and Charlie get along just like siblings would, and I know that you don't really.." I paused for a second, thinking over my words "Have a parent in your life anymore. So.. If you'll let me, I'd be happy to take you under my wing, as one of my own, and care for you, just as a father would" I finished speaking, taking a deep, calm breath as Y/N took everything I had just said into consideration.

After a few moments, Y/N spoke.

"Yes.. I'd love that, actually... Thank you, Luci"

I grinned, nodding.

"Then, from now on, you are my son."

Y/N's POV:

I tried my best to contain my excitement. I finally had a father again, of course, I'd never forget my birth father, but I think he'd want me to be happy again.

We went back out to the parlor where the others were seated and sat back down, talking like the added flow of me and Lucifer's input had never left.

Our conversations went on and on, until late in the night.

We were all getting a bit tired and we all went up to our rooms.

I jumped into bed, covering my body with the blankets, and smiled.

I was... fine again. It felt nice to smile without having to force it one bit.

Yet, I had this terrible feeling in my gut that, there were going to be things that would mess this up for me.

I affirmed to myself that it's hell "everyone feels like that when something good comes along down here" ..Right?
