Y/N's POV:

The very next morning, I got up from bed and fixed up my hair a bit to go downstairs as usual. But.. I had this feeling in my gut that something, some kind of obstacle, a hardship, was going to come my way today.

I brushed it off, nonetheless, I mentally prepared myself.

As soon as I got downstairs, I had an assumption that I had just saw what, or who, for that matter, this obstacle was going to be.

Alastor, the infamous "Radio Demon," standing there in the parlor, now looking straight my way.

I took a deep breath and forced a reassuring thought into my mind "Why would he want anything to do with me? He knows that Lucifer had taken me under his wing.. then again... I wouldn't put it past him to try me"

I shook my head, attempting to shake the negativity out of my mind.

I walked to the bar, where Husk was stood, already making me my usual. I smirked at him.

"Wow, I hadn't even come over here yet." I said, raising an eyebrow.

Husk chuckled, "Well, I know you usually wake up around this time, so I decided to make it so I'd have it for ya when you came down"

I grinned "Thank you, Husk"

"No problem, kid" he went back to cleaning glasses.

I finished off my drink and turned around in my barstool, looking around to see who else was awake.

Alastor, who looked almost as if he'd teleported, stood right in front of me.

I jumped out of shock, before turning stone-faced, staring him directly in the eyes.

He tilted his head slightly, almost in interest, although it was hard to read him through his everlasting smile.

I got up from my barstool, crossing my arms and looking up at him, almost as if to say "What do you want"

He finally spoke.

"Apologies, my good man. But I do not believe we have properly met as of now! I am Alastor, the Radio demon, it's a pleasure to be meeting you, quite a pleaser" He held out his hand, angling down, which made me feel quite small.

If I didn't know any better, I would've fell for his first impression. But, I was a hellborn, I wasn't that naive.

I took a deep breath and decided to try and be polite, I shook his hand firmly, giving him a slight smile just to appease him.

"Y/N." I said, coldly, indicating I was ready to be done with the conversation.

He didn't take the hint.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but your family has just recently been in an.. unfortunate incident, right?"

I sighed, trying my best to keep my composure "Yes."

"I have seen you around, and you seem quite down. I assume that would be the reason?" He said, his smile growing impossibly wide.

"Correct" I said, really wanting to just walk away from this conversation entirely, but I knew that wouldn't work.

"From what I know, you enjoy being independent?" He questioned.

I saw where this was going, I glared slightly at him.

"Most times." I said.

"And unfortunately, you aren't powerful enough to be that with your family now perished, am I correct?" He spoke.

I gritted my teeth, he was getting way to personal. "Correct.. Tell me, Alastor, what point are you getting to with all this." I asked.

He let out a thoughtful hum "A clever one, you are" He said with a chuckle.

"Answer the question." I stated

"No need to grow impatient, I'll give you your answer. I'd like to offer you a deal"

Knew it. I rolled my eyes.

"I grant you the ability to take care of yourself, and you grant me your soul, meaning whenever I call on you for a favor, you shall do it, no questions asked." He said, persuasively.

"Alastor. With all due respect, I'm not that fucking dumb. I was born in hell, I've heard of your twisted games, and I am not interested." I spoke.

He looked quite irritated, but didn't push it. "Suit yourself, my good fellow. However, the offer is always on the table." He said as he walked away.

The rest of the day, Alastor kept appearing, mentioning the offer, trying to act friendly and gain my trust. It didn't work.

5th time that Alastor appeared during the day:

I sat at the window of my room, I heard static outside my door.

"No. Alastor. Go." I hollered so he could hear me through the door.

I felt him get even more irritated than any other time and he walked off

Why did he wanna make the deal so damn bad? Was it because Lucifer was now my father figure? Would he bother any other person this much about a deal?

The questions remained in my mind until later in the night when I was sitting at the bar, talking to Husk.

"I've seen Alastor following you around all day, is he tryin' to make a deal with you?"

"Yep, he won't quit, does he do that with anyone that refuses?" I responded.

"Not usually. Most the time he moves on fast, he doesn't like wasting his time" He answered.

"Why do you think he's spending so much of his pReCiOuS time on me?

"Probably because ol' Lucifer recently took you under his care"

"That's what I was thinking" I stopped for a second, taking my time to think "Why though? Does he really want to bother Lucifer that badly?"

"He gets a kick out of bothering those that are stronger than him, it makes him feel more powerful" Husk sighed, as if he's been through this before.

"Makes sense" I nodded my head and sighed "Good thing I'm a hellborn though, I know all about his little tricks"

Husk nodded, "But, please still be careful, he has a way of persuading even the hellborn"

"I won't fall for it, Husk, you don't have to worry" I insisted.

"I know, but just avoid him if you can" He said.

"I will, I will"

After that, I walked back up to my room, I had a feeling someone was listening to me and Husk's conversation. I knew who it was.

I laid in bed, getting comfortable with a small groan.

His little persuasive games would never work on me.

...Right?
