"Two weeks ago, my husband, Devin #9375 came up to me and explained to me that he couldn't stop thinking about the president. How he had broken the trust of the Devins and possibly the council. I asked him what was going on, why he thought that. He didn't explain anything but did tell me that because of his crimes of treachery and deception, he had to die. Somehow, 9375 convinced me to steal him my gun from work and bring it back to him. I did, and a day or so after, he killed the president while he was playing checkers." He wiped his nose with the shoulder of his shirt and began to slow his crying.
"How did 9375 get into The Dana?" 3 asked, arms crossed.
"He went with me to work; stay at home husband; killed the president after we separated."
Everyone felt happy, he had told the story and seemed to be factual so far. Though no one could attest to his story by using the cameras and looking for his husband. So, they had to confirm with 9375 after arresting him and possibly torturing him.
3007 watched the council, they already knew this was what he was going to say. The story had been going in one ear and out the other for them because they could not stop thinking about one thing. "What did the president do that made him a traitor to us?"
Everyone turned their heads to 80970 after having a conversation of satisfaction to the story and the next step to solving the murder and in turn, the riot.
He lifted his shoulders and dropped them, with a whisper he said, "Don't know. He didn't say."
4 knew this was a lie, they could see how his gaze lowered and he clenched his fingers before quickly unclenching them. But it wasn't important to them to confront him about this lie. All they needed to do was get the confession out of his husband. 80970 was a bad liar, but the crime he witnessed and described seemed to be factual when it came to his movements, tone, and expression. "We arrest 9375 and then we find an electrician. They will power up the city just enough for us to show that we will hold a public execution."
80970 looked up with fear, "You're going to kill him?" His voice was shaking and a wave of guilt engulfed him.
"You break the law, you get killed." 4 told 80970 nonchalantly. Quickly opened the door and left.
The council followed along and 3007 and 4178 followed shortly. As they left the plea's of 80970 were heard, begging to spare his husband's life and instead punish him through a few months or even years of torture.
4178 looked back with guilt, he was helping the council kill a man who yes, committed a crime, but would that warrant a death? Nonetheless, he could not go against the council no matter his moral views and walked with them to a bedroom.
2 looked at them, the only one left as the council members had left for their rooms. "This is where you will be sleeping, my bedroom. Make yourself comfortable and tomorrow morning we leave to arrest 9375." He smiled, waved, and left the room. The door was left opened and a guard stood watch as they looked around.
3007 inspected the furniture, "So beautiful!" They touched the black colored wood and stared at the aroma collection he had. All sorts of scents that he would use on a regular basis to smell good. They picked up one called, "Cherry and Melon." They smelled the cap, not wanting to use up an aroma that did not belong to them. 'This is what he smelled like today,' they took notice while putting it back down.
The guard got two sets of pajamas handed to her and she entered the room to give them to them both. "A mattress will be delivered shortly for one of you!"
