Chapter 19. MAKING IT OBVIOUS.

In W.O.L.O pub,

We only live once pub , Actually, a lot happens in this place , just as it suggests itself , we only live once so people in here act like there's no tomorrow, including relieving stress and confusion that someone is constantly giving me.

I take a third bottle of chrome ready to gulp it down but Carl takes it from my hand and gives Ryan to put it away.

"You think this is gonna help?" He asks over the buzzing music. "Getting drunk won't get you the answers you want." He adds.

"Man , just go ask him what his deal is , drinking and avoiding him won't do you any good , you won't get your answers this way." Ryan adds .

"Ask him? Haha.. you guys have no idea who we are talking about , do you? You want me to go , stand infront of that man and ask , dude what's your deal , are you in love with me or what's the deal with this flirtation and special treatments?'  When I ask him and it turns out that he is not thinking about something of that sort,, my life will be ruined completely." I say , I don't know what to think anymore , I've never met someone so trick in my life , Adam is tricky man that I've never met in my life and I hate him for that!

"I've told you like a hundred times Julian , if really that man does what you just said he does , then trust me he is so into you , and maybe he doesn't want to say it , he wants you to figure it out yourself." Ryan says.

"No , not true , he is not gay , and besides , if he really is into me , he would have just told me , he asked me to be his close friend , he said I shouldn't put him in the list of my friends , that I should make him a special friend, so maybe to him he thinks he's just treating me as a friend but he doesn't know it's affecting me in some other ways."

"Open your eyes kiddo , he used that as an excuse." Carl says looking like he can't sound my argument anymore.

And no am not gonna fall for that , am not gonna fall for that thought that says that , 'maybe Adam is really gay and he is into me '

He is literally driving me crazy , the other day he just came in my department room , shamelessly taking me away with him , saying how much he wants to spend some time with me , everyone was there , looking , listening.

The next he was there too , and he was like ,  "going out for lunch , wanna come?" Everyone was there, looking, listening.

The other day in the meeting , I was suggesting something but Kyle, the guy who loves Paige and he hates me because he thinks I hinder any chances for him to be with her off which I don't... he said in the meeting that my suggestion sucked , Adams reaction drove chills down everyone's spines , he even ended the meeting and said he never wanted to see Kyle around. He was gonna fire him but I spoke for him so he didn't.

His words kept repeating in my head. "You talk to him like that another day and you'll regret it the rest of your life." He had said .

Something else is  that , ever since he asked me to be his friend , he takes me to every meeting of his and when someone says anything , he be like , "M.L , what do you think about that?"

He accepts that thing depending on my thinking.

Another thing is very weird weird compliments. Like there's this time he invited me to his house where he leaves alone , we were talking about completely different things when he said , "Sometimes I wonder how yiu would look if you were a girl , I mean , you look like this and you are a man , so what if..."

I don't know if am over thinking this but I honestly can't take it.

"You haven't answered my question. " Carl says.  "How do you feel about all that , do yiu like it? I mean , have you thought through it , have you asked yourself that what if he is actually into you and what if he confesses to you one day."

"I don't know how I feel about all that , and I don't want to think what I would do if he actually confesses ."

"The stop looking for the answers you are not ready for, just play along with his games until he gets tired of them himself..." he adds but Ryan cuts him.

"Wait , what did you say he calls you?" He asks .

"M.L" I've thought of many possible meanings but I haven't found any that makes sense so far_ Male lead... no , Maternity leave... worse .

"I think I have an idea of what it stands for" he says his face litten up.

"What" I ask curiously.

"My Love" he says happily.

"Shut up" I say , it actually makes sense , I've thought of many but I never thought of that.

"Ngrrrr ngrrr" my phone vibrates and I look only to realize it's him , Ryan moves closer to me and taps the green which accepts the call.

" Where are you ? " He asks immediately.

" On the mission... Need anything?" I ask , my heart beating as never before . I don't know what is happening to me.

" Yeah" He answers simply.

"And what is that ?"  I ask.

" You" he says making my whole body go weak.

" Haha... funny" I force a nervous laugh.

"Funny? Is it really funny , Julian you realize that you have been avoiding me latey , don't you?" He calls my first name,,, he doesn't seem pleased.

I suddenly it makes me feel bad , it makes me feel like I've been doing something wrong, especially to him.

"I'll pass by today , maybe at seven " It's now 6.27pm and I know by seven I would already be there if I leave now.

" You've been saying that for almost a week now? If I did something, feel free to tell me or ask . You left for work today at 11 am without even a 'hi'.  What kind of friendship is this?"

"Well , haven't I said I'll pass by today? Stop being a cry baby."

"You've turned me into one yourself, anyway , it's fine , I'll be waiting, don't kill my mood by not coming."

I hang up even when he is the one who called. We're outside the club and am not planning togo back inside.

"If it's not today then never Juls, go ask him" Ryan says but Carl disagrees.  "No , play along , he is gonna get tired soon , trust me , I can feel that."

"Ugh! You guys are not helping at all." And just like that.. I head back to the company , leaving them still arguing.
