Weeks later, I was sweating my ass off in my apartment. I had no AC and the late August heatwave that had hit Germany had me spending my days mostly naked in my bedroom trying not to melt. It was so hot outside that I even refused to leave the house before it got dark outside. I heard my phone vibrate somewhere next to me on my bed, so I started looking for it with my hand. When I found it, I looked at it and saw a text message from Laura in our group chat. Since I was bored as hell, I opened it. It was multiple pictures and the description said:"Isn't that his ex?" Immediately, I sat up and zoomed in on the photos. Laura was right, these showed Benito and Gabriela getting into a car together.

"Where did you find these?" I texted quickly. I was chewing on my finger nails while I was waiting for a response. Laura was typing and with every second that went by I felt myself get more nervous.

"The article popped up on my For You page." she replied.

"These could be old photos, right?" Carla tried to calm my nerves. She knew exactly how I was reacting to this, even if she wasn't with me.

"Sadly, they were taken yesterday, here in Munich." was what Laura texted back. I felt like the ground underneath me had been ripped from my feet. I knew that Benito was in my city, he had told me that he had wanted to see me before he had to focus on his music again. On that day, he had told me that he had wanted to meet up with a German-Spanish artist but it seemed like he had lied to me. I ignored the heat in my apartment and put on some clothes. Although I hated confrontation, I needed to hear what he had to say about this. As fast as I could, I made my way to my car and started driving. My mind was clouded but I tried to focus on the road. About an hour later, I parked the Audi on the side of the street next to his hotel. My heart was racing as I made my way up the stairs to his room. The walking was clearing my head which is why I had decided against the elevator. I was sweating when I knocked onto his room door. It was yanked opened and I was greeted by a very angry looking Benito. Immediately his face went pale, he had obviously not expected me.

"Hermosa, what are you doing here?" he asked, his voice was raspy.

"Were you out with your ex yesterday?" I directly questioned him.

"¿Quién está en la puerta?" (Who's at the door?) I heard coming out of the room. It was a female voice and it didn't sound happy at all.

"Are you serious?" I asked in disbelief. Benito started shaking his head vehemently.

"It's not what it looks like." he replied quickly. They were both wearing clothes and for a second I wanted to believe him but if David could've done this to me why not him too?

"Oh, it's your wife." the woman in the room said when she came to view.

"You said you cut her off." I simply said, stepping back from the door. My head was spinning and I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore.

"Cut me off? Sweetie, he could never." the woman told me. She had a smirk on her face. Benito stepped out of the room and closed the door behind him, so she wouldn't continue talking to me.

"I did cut her off." he said, trying to touch my hand but I pushed his hand away.

"You didn't. She wouldn't be here if you did." I angrily gave back.

"I did. I needed to sort something out with her because of my house, so I had my lawyer contact her." he explained to me. I didn't believe a single word he was saying, so I continued to step back from him.

"Sabrina, I know how that looks like to you." he said, trying to touch me again. This time I didn't push his hand away, I was unable to move more than my legs. The door behind him opened and Gabriela leaned against the doorframe.
