"Think that's up to you to find out pinky pie!" Kave grumbled dusting of invisible dust. I rolled my eyes sitting the portrait up. She looked like me, so we're on the right track it seems. "This portrait looks old." Marxyn said. Coffee nodded, standing next to me. "Who's house did you say this was?" She asked. "My grandfather's mom." I said looking at her. "Is it safe to assume this is his grandmother?" Kave said. " I don't know.. It could be Kelesy." I said, looking at him. "Maybe we should ask?" Marxyn said picking up the portrait. "That we get a clear answer.". I groaned but nodded. No matter how much I don't wanna talk to him again, he's needed. "Fine. Let's get some rest first, it's late" I said.
We ended up staying at a motel to rest. A crappy motel at that, but it was the closest place to my grandfather's house. I sat on a bed next to Kaveton, sighing. "How you feeling pinky pie?" He said after a while. Kave asking me how I feel is weird... "Uh. fine, the investigation is going somewhere finally." I said, looking at him. "It is. Which means I'm not wasting my time!" He said. "Heh, You act like you had something important to do!' I said. "I could've!" He protested, glaring at me. I chuckled rolling my eyes after. " Sure, like what? Your job at Mcdonald's? Or maybe at the strip club?" I teased. He scoffed, hopping off the bed. "I'm sleeping with Marxyn..." He grumbled. "Noo! Don't leave me alone Kave!" I fake cried, reaching over to pull him back into the bed. "Get off me you pink bastard!" He yelled, his struggle against me turning into a wrestling match. "Stop fighting you two..." Marxyn sighed getting on the bed with us, pulling Kave off me. "Aw why you ruining the fun Mars?" I pouted. Marxyn sighed shaking his head. "You two will kill me." He muttered. "That bastard started it!" Kave yelled. "You hit first!" I laughed. "Are you two always like this?" Coffee asked as she came out the bathroom. "You wouldn't believe..." Marxyn said as she got in the bed, rubbing my head. It was quite comforting after the mess of events. "Enough." Marxyn said gently pushing her hand off and climbing into the bed. He placed Kaveton be me, sitting against the head-broad. "Let's get some rest.". "Hey! Why are we all in the same bed!" Kave protested. "I don't trust her." Marxyn said. "Feelings neutral." Coffee responded. He grumbled, laying down. Coffee hummed, laying down and cuddling against me. "That doesn't explain this at all." Kave muttered. " Sh GDR! We're trying to sleep!" I said, teasing. He let out a groan begrudgingly laying down.
The next morning was surprisingly quiet. Just everyone getting ready to leave. I don't know why but it felt weirdly comforting just watching everyone silently move. Eventually we got in the car, heading back to see my grandfather. It feels nice to be getting close to something... Closer to what I am. The best part, all my friends are here finding out with me! Everything right now just feels so nice... "Pink." Kave said getting my attention. "Yeah?" I answered. He's been starting conversations more. It's creepy. "You're like.. weirdly quiet." He grumbled. "Yeah.. I was just thinking.." I said, then a smirk formed on my face. "What's wrong, miss my voice?" I teased moving closer. "Ugh, don't get ahead of yourself!" He huffed, pushing my face back. "I was just wondering why you were so quiet!" He said. "Oh come on Kave! Someday you have to admit you love me!" I said. "I hate you!". " It's ok Kave I know you're true feelings-" I couldn't finish my sentence as Kaveton decided to pounce on me again. "Hey- Woah-" Coffee exclaimed from the front seat, reach back to stop the growing wrestle. "Are you two serious?..." Marxyn muttered.
After a couple hours we arrived back at my grandfathers house and suddenly there was this heavy weight on my heart. Haven't felt that since my dad was alive. I let out a heavy sigh taking the portrait from Marxyn. " you alright Pink?" He asked. "Yeah... Just nerves... and hungry." I said and he nodded. "I'm sure after this we can get breakfast. I'll-". " I'll pay." Coffee said, interrupting him. Marxyn let out a groan, looking at her. "I'm surprised you have money." He said. "I could say the same to you." She responded. There's that tension again... "Uhm... Ok I'm gonna go." I muttered walking to the front door. Hopefully they calm down. Knocking on the door I waited a bit before heading inside. Old man always has he's door unlocked in the morning. Something about the mailman having tea with him. "Old man?" I said looking around. "We found something..".
