ch-2 confusion

Aafiya's pov

I got up at 5:15 as it was the time to offer my Fajr prayers. I offered them then sat on my bed to read my novel. I don't have a habit to sleep after offering my morning prayer, either I read or study at this time. But as my holidays are going on I don't have to study. I didn't even realise when the time passed as someone knocked on my door. I got up and hesitately went to the door because I am not sure if I want to see any of my brothers right now. I opened the door and saw aadil sir. He gave me a small smile while I was just not sure why he is smiling.

Aafiya- Assalamualaikum.

Aadil- Walaikumussalam aafiya. Did you sleep well?

Aafiya- yeah I did. He nods and speaks

Aadil- I am here to take you for breakfast, you ready?

Breakfast? Is it 8 already? Wow i didn't even realise how time passed. You need to stop reading novels aafiya or you'll surely become a bookworm soon. I shouldn't be surprised, this is not the first time when I forget the world when I am reading novels, but now since i am here I better stop my carelessness. Cause I do remember about my brother's being perfect at everything and now, maybe that applies on me too.

Aadil- aafiya? He broke my thoughts.

Aafiya- ah..yeah just a second please. I said and went back to the bed, he entered behind me and just stood there while I took my book and kept it on the side table , then i corrected the duvet on the bed making it tidy again. While I was doing that he probably noticed my bags which were unpacked and asked.

Aadil- you didn't unpacked yet?

Aafiya- umm yeah I didn't got time for that, but I'll surely do it after the breakfast sir. As soon as I said that his expression changed from calm to sad. Changing his expressions again he said smilingly.

Aadil- don't worry I'll help you if you want or if not me i'll tell anyone of us.

Aafiya- no no sir it's fine, I'll do it by myself, you don't need to be bothered about it. He looked down and took a deep breath and his smile vanished.

Aadil- look aafiya, i know it'll take time for us to be back like how we were before, but I just wanted you to know that we are trying, and I hope you understand that, we got our sister back after nine whole years and trust me those years were the hardest for all of us. umm about Hamza, i know he surely did too. You missed us too right? You remember us right?

He asked me with hope in his eyes while my eyes glisten with some tears, i know what I'll say now will confuse him for sure, but I don't have anything to say other than that.

Aafiya- sir, I don't know what to say right now, but I'll surely answer your questions in the future. Even I am not sure about what I'll say cause I never thought I'll ever come back here. so please, just like you expecting me to understand you all, i expect that from you too. I said not looking at him at all. While he just stayed silent. After what felt like an eternity he spoke.

Aadil- lets go, or we'll get late and then abbu will scold us, he doesn't like anyone being late for any meal. He said not really being soft but also not being stern. I nodded my head and then we went down. I saw everyone already seated and my place was beside Shayan sir as it was the only chair left. I quitly went and sat there.then i greeted everyone.

Aafiya- Assalamualaikum.

Everyone- Walaikumussalam.

Just then mumma gave my brother's a look making me confused.
