Y/n Lestrange

"Before we start our meal, we have a new student here at Hogwarts, she'll be attending year five...
Please welcome Y/n Lestrange!"

The doors suddenly open infront of me, and all faces turn to look at me as I start walking up to the front. As I'm walking through the rows of tables filled with many people, I hear the room fill with whispers.

"Y/n Lestrange as in Bellatrix Lestrange?"
"Is she the daughter of Bellatrix?"
"Bellatrix as in the crazy death eater?"
"Lestrange?"
"Wonder if she's loopy like her mother?"

Professor Mcgonagall shows me to the chair sitting opposite her and gives me a forced smile. I sit down facing everyone who all look back at me, some still whispering and others in shock. Mcgonagall takes the sorting hat in her hands that was just used for the new students, and before she places it on my head, SLYTHERIN!" The sorting hat calls out.

I quickly make my way to the table far right filled with people in green, cheering and whistling as I walk up to the table. "LET THE FEAST BEGIN!" Dumbledore shouts to the crowd. I watch as the empty tables fill with all different kinds of food and my stomach grumbles.

I find an empty spot in between a boy with bleach blond hair and a girl with brown wavy hair. I sit down in between them and the girl to my right says, "Ah Y/n welcome, my names Pansy!" She shakes my hand and gives me a genuine smile.

"This is Draco Malfoy, Lorenzo Berkshire, Theodore Nott and Mattheo Riddle." She points to the four boys and they all give me a welcoming smile except Mattheo who just glares at me.

"Welcome Y/n, tell me where did you move from?" Theodore says giving me a smile and looking me up and down. "To be honest I've never actually been to a proper school before." I say slowly slightly embarrassed. "No way your so lucky!" Lorenzo says as he laughs. "Maybe." I start filling my plate with food.

"Well I'm glad your here Y/n, I just know we're going to be best friends." Pansy tells me as she eats her food gracefully.

After the meal I walk with the group, and Pansy gives me a tour of the Slytherin common rooms. "To the left is the girls dormitory's." I follow her as she stops at room 14 and unlocks the door. "And this is your new home, we get to be roommates!" She screams excitedly and I laugh with her.

As we un pack Pansy tells me everything I need to know about everyone. "Draco and I have been dating for 5 months now." "Oh and Theodore or Theo always has alcohol on him so if you ever need any he's the man." "And Lorenzo, we all call him Enzo, he's the funniest and most caring guy, I think you and him will get along well!"

She continues telling me about who hooked up with who, who nobody likes, the Slytherin party's and how they like to sneak out sometimes at night to the astronomy tower.

"What about Mattheo?" I say, she looks up at me and gives me a grin. "You think he's cute do you?" She leans over to check the time and then grabs her hairbrush to start brushing her hair. "What no, I was just curious since you haven't spoken about him!" I say watching her gracefully brush her hair.

"You know he's the son of Lord Voldermort?"
"Yes I'm aware."
"Ok well, he's alright he dosnt speak much to me, he's best friends with Theo, Mattheo is someone you don't really what to be around to much." She tells me still brushing her long, curly hair.

"I swear he never smile's." She laughs and jokingly rolls her eyes. "Ok let's go I'm going to give you a full tour before classes start tomorrow!" Pansy grabs my hands and pulls me up, we make our way out to the common room.

She starts showing me around the school and chatting to me about things from her favourite spell to her pet cat Missy and her family at home.

I smile a real smile, one that I haven't done in ages. It feels good to have someone and feel so welcomed at my new home.
